Got it at Meijer's midnite release!

Tried multiplayer, and got my ass HANDED to me, 50 times over.

Decided, lemme brush up with single player, and then go to Multiplayer.

I have a Walmart right across the street from work, so I stopped in there this morning to pick it up. There were probably 8-10 boxes that were broken down, so they sold a ton of the game. The cashier told me that the line was extremely long last night, and he was surprised they even had any left. But as far as I could tell, they didn't have too many.

Guess I'll be working half a day today and heading home around noon to play. If anybody wants to add me, I'm down for playing some online. I never was great at MW1, but I was good enough to kill more than I died. I purged my gamertag list a few months ago, so a lot of you who were on my list aren't anymore.

Did Infinity Ward add online stat tracking in this game? I was happy with it in MW1, but it was in-game only. I will be surprised if the game of the decade doesn't have it.

Needs updates. How are the servers, are they surviving the initial onslaught? How is the frame rate? How are the load times?

And most importantly, is it badazz?

Bleh. UPS shows my package as sitting an hour away. So if it does make it today, it will be this evening, I guess. Maybe I will have to stick with Gamestop for my pre-orders.

Servers are fine (in the UK), Frame rate on PS3 is great, except during some set pieces. Load times are what you might expect, not fast, not too slow.

Mine's listed as "Out for Delivery" since 6:43 AM.

Remember, you got release day delivery, not release morning. If you want to play it overnight/in the morning etc you do need to go with a local shop and a midnight release.

This is why I'll never rely on a shipping company to get me a game on release day. I'm way too impatient, I'd be refreshing that tracking status every 10 minutes. :)

That's true, but every pre-order I've had from Gamestop has gotten here before noon because it shipped out earlier. UPS shows it didn't even leave their facility till late last night. My copy just left Columbia, which is around an hour from me. Not a huge deal, honestly, I just expected the same as Gamestop.

That's exactly what I'm doing. :p

Servers seem to be holding up well...this is a host-to-host game for the most part, so it shouldnt be that hard to keep it going.

Also, they didnt reset the leaderboards or XP. I'm still lvl 34. :)

It'll come at the time you normally get UPS packages. They're not going to come special in the morning unless Amazon paid for the super duper expensive overnight...which they didn't.

So, if UPS normally comes by your places at 2pm, expect your game at 2pm. Not rocket science.

they were only resetting them for people who were playing a pirated version, aka, those people who got banned from XBL.

Lol. Well, apparently the tracking wasn't updating exactly right. According to them, it took 11 minutes to get from Columbia to L-burg. It now says out for delivery.

Looks like it might be here on time, after all.

Yeah, they really should have. I kind of want to do it all over again with all my friends starting from 1.

But really, the starting weapons are just as good. The true advantage is from knowing the maps, and that cant be reset. Within a few days, all will be equalized.

Read a few reviews, and I have to say I mostly agree with them - the campaign was awesome, but because of the environments, not the story. The story isnt bad, its just terribly hard to follow at times.

Anyone down for some specops?

Gamertag is mdaria510.

Good to hear it! UPS typically is pretty good at keeping their tracking info up to date. More than likely what happened is they scanned it in Columbia when it was leaving, it arrived and they instantly threw it on the delivery truck.

Hope you'll be killing terrorists like a champ soon!

And BD, I'll probably go through the story on easy or norm and then I may be up for some Spec Ops, but that won't be until tomorrow. For CoD 4 I started off playing on Hardened and then later on went back and did it on Veteran. I figure I'll go with the lazier pace of Normal and enjoy it more the first time.

Kabob, that's exactly my plan. I'll play through the single player on the easiest setting, and enjoy it. Then if I want achievements, I'll go back and do it on the hardest.

This game is amazing. I played 4 hours of MP last night. I'm in freaking love. VERY VERY deep compared to the last one. But all the gameplay mechanics are largely unchanged. I'm a sniper and some of the new attachments are really useful. For instance the heartbeat monitor. I can't tell you how many times that thing has saved my life.

Went to BB last night. What a nightmare. 200 people in line and one fucking register open. Luckily I was towards the front, so it only took about an hour. I felt sorry for the people towards the end of the line.

I still think they should have reset everything...that makes me a bit bitter.

i don't think they should, that wouldn't be fair for those who got it early. they shouldn't be punished for finding the game early.

and it is easy to level up in this if you are decent at it. my lil brother got his account up to level 30 in less than a day of playtime.
