It shows that it has less damage, but it takes the same number of shots as the M16 does to kill. In 3 games I got the shotgun and the silencer unlocked for it. Hopefully, I'll get fall soon.

No, the bars that show up when you're choosing a weapon for create-a-class mean absolutely nothing. The M16 does 40-30 damage, which is exactly the same as the FAMAS, TAR-21, SCAR-H, and AK-47. The ACR does 30-20 damage, which is identical to the M4 and F2000.

First they have to find and fix the bug, which may or may not be trivial. Then it has to go through internal QA, which is not trivial. Then it has to go through MS's approval process, which is not trivial (and out of IW's control). Bug fixes don't happen overnight.

IW released a game with a bug, but it's not their fault that dumbasses get banned for exploiting it. Most people would not exploit the glitch. The people who do exploit it can take their one day ban as a warning against exploiting glitches in the future and a valuable life lesson about cheating.

Also, IW has no control over how MS handles cheaters.

and another reason there should have been a open beta....this game appears to be going from everybody's love to everybody's hate very quickly w/ this glitch and the nuke cheaters. well, had its 2wks of insane love, now on to the next, or older cod. the game is becoming epic fail as fast as it sold.

don't even get me started on the pc version - less stable than windows me out of the gate...

been playing hardcore all night and until this glitch gets fixed I think that's what I'm goign to stick to. Hardcore seems to be a much better group of players to play with anyways.

Does anyone know how to report someone on the PSN that was using the javelin exploit?

Is there any possible way to get these retards banned?

Erm, sorry - but no. There were several issues that remained in CoD4 for quite awhile, even though I know I personally reported them during the Open Beta. Open Beta is more of a stress test, period.

Supposedly 1.06 is awaiting MS approval for the 360, but to call it an epic fail? No, not really.

I wish they would patch the matchmaking already. I am tried of getting into games that is ends up being 4v2 and the two person team is losing 10-0 on ctf when I enter. They need to take a note from Halo and have parties of 1-2 only match with other parties of 1-2. And parties of 3+ match with other parties of similar size. They only exception should be Ground War, which has always been the noob playlist anyway.

Just ran into a match with nuke boosters. My whole team made it our mission to ruin their streaks. We got our tails kicked in the match but at least it didn't end in a bs nuke blast. Its pretty bad. I hadn't been nuked once till yesterday and now its happened 6 or 7 times. Only 2 of those have been legit after seeing the end of round stats.

Yea, I've been seeing a lot of this crap on FFA. Also, I had a different FFA rounds where there were 3-4 players (all in their 3rd prestige) teaming up and communicating where everybody is on the map. Needless to say, I quit each time I heard that crap.

I love MW2, but I'm done playing for a little while. I'll play regularly again once they got the javelin glitch fixed and the nuke boosting dies down a bit.

Honestly, I don't even understand why the nuke is in the game anyway. In any situation where someone has 25 straight kills, they're probably going to win anyway, so what's the point of the nuke and ending the match early?

That is not entirely true. I've gotten a nuke on many occasions where my team would have lost. In a domination match, for example, I got my nuke and the other team was like 20 seconds from winning, while my team was about 60 away. In a TDM game, it makes a lot of sense that the guy who is 25-0 is helping his team win, in objective based games, this is not always the case.

And, does anyone get tired of people crying about the bans? I mean, seriously, you are using an exploit that gives you a completely unfair advantage (get killed by someone within 25 yards and they die as well). People using the glitch are usually pretty bad at the game anyway. They hardly make me go negative, just stifle my kill streaks.

What is this nuke boosting you guys are talking about?

Two guys get into a game on opposite teams and hide in a corner. One guy uses tactical insertion to spawn in the same spot every time, and the other guy repeatedly kills him. Repeat 25 times and you get a nuke and the game ends.

I assume people get on opposite teams by searching for a game at the same time, and if they don't end up in the same game (or if they end up on the same team) they just back out and try again.

No, you use the session in progress option.

I can tell. I really don't know much about the javelin glitch though.

basically you become a live human bomb, and whoever kills you instantly dies as well as those around him.

You have to have the javelin and semtex equipped. You bring up your javelin, then switch to semtex and pull the safety pin, but don't throw it. Then you switch back to javelin and when you die, you have this instant huge explosion.

It is insta death for whoever is within like 25 yards of you. Most people have commando, lightweight, and marathon so they can run around a knife people. If you see anyone running around with the javelin out, shoot them from afar. According to my friend though, if you hit them with the noob tube, they don't explode; you have to hit them with it though.

What I want them to fix, is the boosting glitch. There is a way to have more than the limited amount of people to join a party so they can have friend on both teams.

M16 does more damage, as Hopeless' graph shows.

Noob tubes are so annoying. I played for the first time in awhile this morning, and I turned my Xbox off within 20 minutes. The two matches I played in it seemed like everyone was just running around spamming grenades.

Meh, I love 'em. Don't just walk around with 'em out, use them tactically and they work well for flushing out campers.

I know it shows more damage, but according to my playing, it takes the same number of ticks from the ACR to kill someone as well. It may just be that less bullets from the spread of the M16 are hitting due to it having more recoil than a fully auto (which makes no sense) but either way, I average more kills with it.

Also, the damage thing is complete BS on assault rifles with the exception of the AK-47 because it uses 7.62 rather than 5.56. But then again, I can't hope for realism in a game that allows you to run around dual wielding and jumping around like Halo 3.

I just got MW2 a few days ago for my 360, so far I enjoy playing it. I haven't run across any glitchers or cheaters yet, but my biggest issue is I feel like I spend more time in the pre-game lobby than actually playing the game.

The "play one match, wait at least a minute" is complete garbage. I can understand waiting for more players, but if the game is full, what is the point? They are just giving people the chance to leave and search for another game (which usually yields faster play).

I can't play alone online anymore. The players I get on my team are complete morons most of the time. That and the fact that I join a game and it is 1v4 when I join and my team is, of course, losing. I mean, why even have those games available to join over fresh lobbies? Who wants to play the last 5 minutes of a slaughter just to have to wait for more people when it is over anyway?

Use "Team DeathMatch Express" once the option is available to you. it's at max like a 20sec wait between games.

I'm getting tired of the fucking matchmaking. I do NOT want to join a losing game - hell, if that means I don't join a winning game - fine by me. I'm at the point where I just back out of the game, because I'm going to take a loss anyways.

Amen....yesterday i joined at 192-90...lovely

Like you, I'd rather just be put in some holding area and wait for a new game once one team builds up more than a set number of points (domination is my game)
