Oh crap, here comes Lidge again.......:frown:

I can't watch. crosses fingers!

Holds PClark and comforts him while also looking away.

thanks, I am a bundle of nerves. Imagine if we had the Lidge of last year, this team would have had about 104 wins.

WHEW, THANK GOD THATS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:laugh::thumbsup:

again... holy shit. my heart stopped 50 times during that game. all that's left now is to beat down the dodgers and then we get to go to the big show. 🙂

This Phillies team is unique. Nothing rattles them. They can get beat by 10 runs one night and it doesn't carry over the next day. Tonight is another example of being down with 2 outs and they wind up winning. Amazing.

Incredible game last night. Madson blowing the save and the lead, then Howard and Werth with the insane clutch hits reminiscent of the Angels clutch grinding it out to finish off Boston. These playoffs have been great so far!

Hey, I'm a Phillies fan! Been a fan since the days of Mike Schmidt, young Curt Schilling, John Kruk, Lenny Dykstra, Wild Thing (ugh!), etc.

I guess I stopped caring after Wild Thing blew the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays back in the 90's. 😉

Maybe I should pay attention again, since the Phillies are actually good now. 😛

I heard they were decent last year too.

Added poll for LCS.

Didn't know there were so many Phillie fans here.

I wish the championship series started today for both leagues but I guess the teams need their rest. lol

Nice that TBS is televising the NLCS which means one less series without Joe Buck and Tim McCarver. Unfortunately, it may mean more Chip Caray.

Nah, they really don't. Bud Selig has royally screwed up the postseason IMO.

Game 7 of the World Series would be played on November 5th this year. That's football season, not baseball.

hopefully chip caray finds a job he's better suited for before thursday; like a peep show floor mopper or something along those lines. "...fisted foul." "fisted to the shortshop." "fisted that one for a 450-ft homerun!" god he's terrible.

With all the fisting he talks about, you'd think we were watching porn.

God he sucks.

Maybe it's because I'm used to him, but I really like Don Orsillo. His combo with Buck Martinez was pretty good, though BM has a tendency to talk too much. I'd much rather listen to those guys than anybody else TBS has. Is that just because I'm familiar with Orsillo, or do other baseball fans like him?

I am aware of this. When I said "now", I meant "recently". I thought that was pretty obvious, considering the Phillies won the Series last year. 😛

A pretty darn good young talent for the Dodgers. He's got great stuff but boy will this be pressure packed for the kid. Good fastball with a nice curve.

You must be new to Dodger baseball!
Only 8-8 despite a pretty good era?
I thought the Dodgers must have an ace who won some games.

None of their starters actually won more than 11-12 games (a lot of no-decisions and late rally games) and of the 3 starters in this series, Kershaw has I believe the best stuff. Plus he's scheduled to pitch next anyway.

I was surprised though Torrie decided to move Billingsley to the bullpen and let Kurodo pitch in Game3.
