Haha, I feel the same way. I'll sit there and pitch a game or two, then keep saying to myself "ok, last one" then I can upgrade some skills, or hit some sort of milestone and I want to pitch another game, then another, then another. Big trouble.

I have to admit though I created a CF last night, just to try it out and I didn't find playing that role anywhere near as enjoyable as playing a pitcher. Maybe I just need a little more time with it.

i think im going to create a pitcher next then. sounds like fun. right now im using a second baseman and i get plenty of plays and situations, kinda stinks that my catcher has a glass arm though and cant throw nobody out. in spring training im starting everyday and when i do get a rest i usually come in late to pinch hit. first play i got confused on though because i didnt realize all the controls are switched around. whoops!

Yeah my catcher is the same way. He has yet to throw out a single runner (this is in AAA) and it's pretty frustrating. I assume they get better once you make it to the bigs.

Part of the problem I have with playing a position player is how quickly most things end. I head into the outfield, get ready, then 30 seconds later I'm already moving on to my next goal. With the pitcher you spend a longer time out there and I feel more involved in the game. As I said though, I may just need more time with my position player as I only played him briefly last night.

does your player card update when the next season starts? im still in aaa (started in aa and got promoted probably about 6 weeks before the all-star game) as an everyday second baseman but when i veiw the card and the scouting reports it says that id be lucky to hit .250 and get double-digit homeruns and dont look for me to steal bases and and my defense is a liability. and pretty much a bunch of low grades to accompany the comments. but im batting .349 with 9 hr's and 20 stolen bases and a .987 fielding pct with about 5 weeks left in the season. im wondering if im in aaa next year if the scouting report on my player card updates with better grades and comments (granted i dont fall into a slump the rest of the season).

Yes it does update...but it updates more with your ratings than what your stats show. I hit a solid .350 for 2 or 3 seasons and won a Gold Glove but my ratings were still pretty bad and I still had bad comments on my Player Card.

It's strictly on your ratings, stats mean pretty much nothing.

I found another couple of beefs. I got an email from the coach complaining about my lack of RBIs even though I am #1 on the team currently.

Also found that if you are involved in a play and the ball is fouled, then that batter hits another one to you after the pause the commentary will still mention it being pitch #1.

Small complaints though.

On the other side, it's funny watching the 2nd base ump hit the deck when you line one towards his head :D

I believe you can talk online...you hit the R3 button (and hold?) to talk. I may be mistaken though.
