Think I'm one section from finishing Act 2. So far, I am pretty damn impressed. It's my first MGS game ever, but now I'm wishing I bought the 80Gb version so I could backtrack. The gameplay, huge selection of guns is very nice, especially the customizability. The cutscenes are among the best I've seen on the PS3 so far; I'm actually interested in the story and following it, unlike GTA3 where I was going "ugh, end already". Speaking of, these are some freaking long cutscenes. Good thing they are 'interactive'.

The installation is nice. Rather than one half-hour install like DMC4, they've split it up for each act. Now, can someone tell me what's so impressive about the installation screen? Or is a man smoking a cigarette in the dark worth idolizing?

Also, since this is my first MGS game. Who's stealing from who;)? I think I know the answer, but certain parts are just screaming "Crysis".

A minor complaint is the lack of agility that Snake has compared to Sam Fischer. It took me 20 minutes to figure out how to "jump" across a "hole" in the floor or over sandbags. Oh, and I hope I'm not playing it 'wrong' seeing as how I'm killing/executing 95% of enemies. I swear I'm trying to sneak...

Well holy shit I think that was the best game I've ever played. I just spent the past 6 hours straight finishing it up. I just couldn't put it down. There's so much variety to everything you can do, it's crazy. I don't want to go into it too much though because it will be spoileriffic.

I loved every other MGS game. I wish I could afford a PS3 and a HDTV to go with it. Damn I'm so pissed seeing as this has gotten higher scores than any other MGS to date.....

I am nearing the end of Act 4 and I almost cannot beleive how amazing this game is. No wait! It's not amazing--it's phenominal! Kojima has certainly out done himself here. I cannot wait to see how all this wraps up as I feel like I'm so close.

There is so much that I want to write but cannot. There is just too much to say and not enough time for me to write it all.

Heh... you guys are further than I am. I just started the third act last night. And, yeah, I'm absolutely loving this game. If I had to make a complaint it would be that the game feels a bit too linear at times. But, honestly, I'm having so much fun I really don't care.

I started out using the tranquilizer, then once I found out that all these people I'm tranqing are just mercs, executing other mercs and rebels, I asked myself why the hell I was being so nice.

That 'epiphany' came at the beginning of act 2, so I've since replaced that weapon slot with Operator. I'm also figuring out how to use camo and CQC, so I'm knocking a bunch of people out. Problem is, they have become a liability. Now everyone I don't kill outright gets a double-tap to the head.

Best game I've played in a while.

I beat it last night. God damn fantastic game. Act 4 was definitely my favorite, followed by 2. The first section of Act 5 annoyed me a bit.

GEez, makes me want to buy a PS3!!

I did get Metal Gear: essential collection. Will start with MGS3, then 1, 2 and hopefully, after I beat 2, PS3 price will have fallen

I remember doing this in MGS2. Tranq then double tap. Loved it!

The best thing you can do with any FPS or Action game is to make killing fun. Make the AI smart and make the killing fun and I bet 9 out 10 times that game will be a hit.

Just finished the game. Overall it's a 7 or 8 just for all of the nostalgic moments. Especially the 4th level, but how the developers included almost every character from the MG universe. Pretty cool. I spent around 24 hours on the game, but I can't imagine that I played more than about 6 hours total. This game can be done very quickly by skipping the cut-scenes. There really isn't a lot of playable portions of the game. As it progresses, the less you play and the more you watch. If you hated MGS2 because of the cut-scenes, then you probably won't care for this game.

Wow this blew me away. I never really liked MGS except for MGS on the Playstation. But this game rocks. So glad i got the bundle with the Dual Shock 3 as it adds some nice elements to the game. Feel bad for anyone that doesnt have one.

Can you actually do this? Best I can do is kick a knocked out guy after hitting R1 3 times.

Press x and then you should be able to stab them when they are knocked out.
