So what's the deal with Neo being able to stop the Sentinels as if he was "in" the Matrix when he's
out in the "real" world??

the real world is a secondary program to contain the humans who got out of the 1st world.

they only thought they were free from the machine and had their real bodies, but they werent. even in their "real" world, they were still within the computer program.

NEO was the 6th one that tried to shut down the machine and save what he thoguht was his real world. but in actuality, he realized the "real" world was another computer program, thus he had power over it.

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking. How better to control the human condition of HOPE than to make them think they are fighting for a common good? :)

I REALLY need to see it again.

The Semi head-on collision was just kick-ass!

that whole highway chase scene was kick ass! i agree that the agent on top of the semi should have just plugged the keymaker and morpheus with bullets. but then there'd be no Matrix 3.

Try earlier... November 5th. They are even trying to go for an exact global hour release which may mean some people will be watching it at 4am. =T.

Producer Joel Silver is aiming for a global day, date and hour release for the third Matrix installment, Revolutions, on November 5.

"We?re still working it out logistically, but the audience is ready," he said ? no matter what way it is structured, a simultaneous global release would see one territory holding its premiere at around 4am. Added Silver: "The story will end in the next movie."

At a packed press conference in the Palais attended by 15 Matrix Reloaded cast and crew from costume designer to sound editor ? plus Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne and a pregnant Carrie-Anne Moss ? the film?s directors, the Wachowski brothers, were a no-show, "buried deep in editing Revolutions," according to Silver.

Yes! Don't be another X-Files and say the movie will answer the questions and then leave more questions unanswered.

Just to clarify, it is spelled Nebuchadnezzar. Not:
nebacanezzar
nebachanezzar
Nebecheneezer
nebuchanezza
Nebakanezer
Nebuchadnezzar <--- Hm, that one was actually right...

I will also accept Nebuchadrezzar, although that's not the spelling used in the movie.

That is all. Please continue with your discussion.

And don't even get me started on Merovingian :p

To clarify this for everyone, in the end of reloaded, Zion did not fall as some people seem to think. The ships involved in the counter attack were destroyed, and then the machines started diggin again, so Zion is still there at the end

I've been trying to look for the fake Reloaded scripts that were floating around. Anyone have access to them? I heard that the producers made a remark that one of the fake ones would have actually made a decent movie... =T.

Yeah, I'm looking for the fakes, specifically the one that earned a bit of praise from the producers. Using your criteria, only one I found was this: TEXT Wonder if it's the one the producer liked.

Did we ever find out what happened to the Operator from the original Matrix (Tank)? I haven't seen all the Animatrix shorts/played the video game, so I missed it if one of those showed what happened to him.

I saw the movie this last weekend, and I gotta say... my brain definitely hurt after leaving the movie theatre. I understood everything that happened, but I tried to analyze all of the philosophical moments in the movie, and they just kept throwing more and more at you. I have a sudden urge to take a religious studies class.

But other than that, I thought it was a great movie. The twins were used a bit less than I thought they would be, but when they were used were awesome. I can't wait until the third in the series now :D

There is a thread previously that explains Tank had problems with Producers (probably read that as he thought he should be entitled to a bigger paycheck)...

I don't think they even give him a nice ending in Animatrix...but rather just say he's gone :)

Speaking of the Animatrix... wow! I didn't think they'd tie it so closely into the new movie. Imagine my suprise when the first scene of Reloaded they talk about the Osiris and the main plot is based around what the Osiris found out.

Or the guy following Neo around was the kid from Kid's Story.

There was a bunch of other stuff too, but I was completely not expecting the Animatrix to be tied in, I was just expecting it to be bonus, unrelated stuff.

I agree. I came into this thread about to post that "the movie didn't flow." There were good scenes, and to me it wasn't confusing at all. But it didn't hold up to the level of anticipation and flow like the first Matrix. Just like the scene when they get back to Zion - apparently Neo has been there before, we're missing about 6 months of history, with that kid Neo saved, etc. Watching it I felt like I missed Matrix 1.5. I have the feeling there was a lot more to that movie that was left out.

Yea, you are absolutely right. They explain how that kid neo saved got to be there in one of the Animatrix shorts. Watching it does give a little bit better understanding. Also, the Wachowskis DID in fact leave some stuff out of the movie and incorporate it into the game. After beating the game, I can say that it expands on some things a very little bit, but it also brings up more questions....

Three Words.

Persiphone is Hot.

nuf said, 2nd round coming up tomorrow matinee

~wnied~

I agree wholeheartedly, but there's something those of you who find Persephone hot have to see...

****game spoiler***** (just covering my ass...)

...there's a scene in the game where Niobe runs into Persephone, and she pulls the same routine she did with Neo....the whole 'kiss me like you are kissing your lover' bit...and it's not a cutscene done with the game engine, it's actually Monica Belluci and Jada Pinkett sucking face. I have to applaud the Wachowskis on that.

Well, he got pretty badly wounded in the first movie... before I read the stuff posted here, I just assumed that he died from complications and on his deathbed he asked Link to take over as operator of the Nebuchadnezzar

So has anyone noticed that everyone in Zion are young? That is, except for the 24 member council. They are the members from the last iteration of the Matrix, so the Chief that talks to neo in the basement is probably the last version of the "one".

For all those who are saying crazy stuff like Neo is a machine or whatever, I would love to see a non-Hollywood ending movie as well and would think that would be sweet, but you've always got to keep your perspective on the fact that it is a movie and, regardless of whether it's from the Wacowski bro's or not, the movie is most likely 'governed' by outside forces and therefore will not do these "risky" things to the plot. Do you really think they would make the main character out to be a machine at the end of Revolutions?

Yep a few people noticed that. Check the first few pages.

i doubt it - otherwise the previous version of the "one" would have told neo what he could be facing. i agree the council may be the last iteration of the reload.
