As I hope most of you know the 2007 Masters starts this Thursday, April 5th! What are your predictions for the winner, and at least who the top 3 would be? Post your thoughts.

Also, will there be any members of AT attending the masters tournament in Augusta, Georgia?

This is just for kicks, so vote when you can once I get an official list up. I can only figure about 3-4 top players for the tournament, but I at least want to list 10. So put in your votes and let me know! I will edit the poll accordingly.
Thanks!!

I don't think it needs a temp sticky, but maybe I'll get lucky. 😉

More info at the official Masters website.

ALSO, there is a live update feed for the Leader Board on masters.org as well.

I've added some extra info. I've got a huge list here at work now so I'll go through the players and see if I can make any changes to the poll.

It's Tiger's to take (he's probably even money in Vegas)
Phil's to blow
And Vijay's to be a prick about the whole thing

Tiger has won 4 of the last 10 Masters, so he's the player to beat. Augusta is the perfect course setup for him, very long and he can drive it 100 yards right on most holes without getting into trouble. He's the prohibitive favorite. Based on past performance Phil would be #2, Vijay #3 with Stenson and Ogilvy the dark horses. They both have the game to win there, so if you want to bet on somebody who isn't Tiger/Phil/Vijay they would be good picks. Ernie is off form, Sergio and Adam Scott don't putt well enough to handle those greens, Furyk isn't long enough and CHIII is a hometown boy that tries too hard and never does well there.

If I was betting a friend and I could take Tiger vs everyone else, i'd still bet on Tiger.

If I was betting in Vegas i'd take Els or Mickelson for a potential bigger payoff.

Historically, Woods has won 12/32 of the majors since his first win at Augusta National. Unless you know he's injured, how can you bet against him (assuming even money)?

Better payout?

I rarely bet favorites.

I think Tiger Woods is winning in the poll just because he is the first/default selection, and the most people know his name.

It sucks seeing as how he is always expected to be on top. I wonder how most people take it if he doesn't win.

Doesn't bother me. I'd love to see a nice long playoff between 4 players on Sunday - with Tiger and Phil being two of them.

There's something about Tiger when he's leading going into Sunday. I forget the stat, but he almost ALWAYS wins if he has the lead.

-edit-
I actually wouldn't mind him losing. Keeps him farther away from Jack's records, meaning Tiger will play longer. Selfish, I know.

Or maybe because he's the best player and the favorite to win any tournament he enters.

I can't watch the last day knowing Tiger is going in with a 5+ shot lead.

Better question: Assuming even money, why on earth would anyone be stupid enough to bet on something that hits 12/32?

I was referring to betting on Woods vs. InserPlayersNameHere with anyone else resulting in a push. Not Woods vs. NotWoods.

I'm gonna bring up a outside possibility that I think gets overlooked often.........

Colin Montgomerie!

This guy has played a few of these and knows this course VERY well. I also think it's a tournament that he wants badly.

But I would NOT want to be competing against Tiger in ANY competition, much less a major, less than that........the MASTERS!!!! 😉
