Salukis' defense is every bit as good as all the sports pundits said. The Jayhawks are really going to earn this win, if they can get it.

An ugly game (as defensive struggles usually are). KU was lucky to win, but I think anyone would have been lucky to escape, the way SIU played tonight.

Texas A&M vs. Memphis...I hate when the refs freeze the game like that making a timing decision.

edit: and then make the wrong call, robbing TA&M of what little chance they still had to pull it out.

Damn A&M...

Well I should be rooting for Pitt, but I have UCLA winning the whole thing so...

Eh, I don't care who wins. Pitt advancing to the Elite 8 would be amazing though.

The refs did not rob A&M. They robbed themselves when they gave up 4 offensive rebounds on Memphis' last offensive possession. Jones and Law also missed two gimme breakaway layups.

Agreed, A&M blew it. That doesn't change the fact that the refs blew the timing call, or that took far too long to make the decision. An unfortunate ending to an otherwise good game.
FTR, I was not unhappy to see A&M lose. I've never been a fan of anything Texan. It's just a shame the game ended badly.

I wouldn't exactly call that layup by Law a "gimme."

That being said, yes, A&M was not robbed. When the ball was deflected, it hit the ground in-bounds, then bounced up, then was touched by a guy in the stands. That sequence, IMO, would have taken at least 1.1 seconds.

OSU in serious trouble here. Oden is out, 3 fouls in the first half. Vols up by 14 with 5 min left.

SEC REPRESENT!

-edit-

Just the last couple minutes of this game....OSU is getting their ass handed to them, QUICK!

OSU looks terrible. They cannot stop Tenn from scoring.

So what you are really saying is OSU needs to keep the opposing team from putting the ball in the basket?

<announcer2>
Yeah, that's what OSU needs to do. Focus on keeping Tennessee from putting the ball in the basket. And if they can just get the ball into their own basket they just might have a chance.

<announcer>
Yep, that's the key to the matcup. Prevent Tennesse from scoring points and at the same time score points for you team. That's the key here.

No sh!t shirlock!
