Playing versus is awesome cus of the playable zombies. It's great but I haven't found a reliable versus server. Every single one i've been too has been extremely slow and lagged horribly. I'm playing campain with another AT'er.
 
i tried playing the demo and it says it's locked and preloaded, what does that mean? i can't play demo anymore?
 
Well, FUCK VALVE.

They released fucking broken server files. The dedi servers do nothing but crash. NOTHING but crash. There are now over 200 crash dump files on my server, and the multitude of updates tonight have done nothing. The hlds@list has people saying that a fix is in the works, well that's what the past two fucking weeks were for! Can Valve seriously not release working server code? This same fucking thing happened when the demo launched two weeks ago.

Valve: "Hmm... let's change the cvars multiple times a day, release broken server code, and generally make server admins sift through thousands of cvars to get their servers running. That's a great game plan! Let's go with that one!"

If I wasn't such a zombie game whore, I'd never play this again. The game's great, but only for the average player who's only interest is joining random online lobbies.
 
Game is real fun, i like it alot

Versus is alot of fun, its better when people are not playing as a team, my whole team died and i was running to the safe house and got owned, good times 🙂

It really is a team based game, you have to work as a team if you want to live for long, sucks playing public games due to noobs and teammates who shot the shit out of you and don't know how to duck shot and just rush into battle without the team to have to save there ass.
 
One thing I hate about it, is that there is no filter in the auto join.

I dont want any low ping servers, which should be common sense but why does the game keep throwing me into those?

Seven long hours of playing on someone's listen server and pinging 150+ 🙁

On the plus side, server is now up and running.

69.147.238.201:27015 Chicago 8 slot, so it can do versus and co-op if you guys feel like playing.

Edit: usually it's my clan's Steam group exclusive, but I'm going to leave it open for a while to see how it runs.

If anyone has any config suggestions I'd like to hear them as well 🙂
 
So I noticed on steam there is a left4dead four pack, where 4 copies of left4dead on steam costs 150. If we can get 4 ATOTers to each pitch in 37.50 we could all get the game!
 
This question has probably been answered somewhere in this thread, but skimming through several pages I didn't find it. Where can I download the demo now?

i'll get in too if possible.

i think it sucks that demo ends when game is released. is this how demos on steam work?
