dual core a5, dual cameras, gyroscope. thinner and lighter.

No info on memory or screen resolution.

screen resolution maybe that 1 more thing.
 
The cover is pretty badass. Wake from sleep when you remove it? I have never seen a cover do that before.
 
hrm ... so now 4.3 lets you turn your iPhone into a hotspot just w/the OS? that seems like that could really piss verizon off since that is a feature they make you pay for ... maybe the blog i read was wrong?
 
can't help but to feel that Apple is really a trend setter... Tablets has been around, but not like the form factor that apple has presented... Plus the polish of iOS is yet to be seen (maybe WP7)

But with the same pricing, it looks like Steve Jobs gets to be greedy... He really have put another nail in other tablets' coffin... They're like the leaders in tech... Too bad MS doesn't have anything up their sleeves... it really feels like they're just sitting on their asses while Apple is handing everyone a piece of apple pie..

I think its just enabling of the feature nothing more.

No way ATT will let you have a free hotspot without charging you.
 
It does look like it has some nice features, but some of it is just BS. $40 for an HDMI dongle? WTF? I also don't like the way it seems like they are attacking the android market rather than competing with it. Feels shady to me.

The front face of the iPad 2 is similar to the iPad 1. The tapered edges on the back are similar to the iPhone 3 and 3GS. How is this a copy of the Xoom? Seriously? If anything its physical design is like a mix of the iPad 1 and iPhone 3GS.


Notice they have a iPod connector cable that interfaces to HDMI. I kinda thought that Apple would go this direction with regards to extra connectors. Instead of a million ports, they'll just have cables that will replicate other connectors as needed and will connect via the iPod connector. They're using a similar strategy as well for the Mac with Intel's Lightpeak that can replicate other connector types. The positive is clean aesthetics the negative is yet another cable/dongle to worry about.
 
Have they announced any upgrades to the UI or the addition of widgets? I might be interested in a tablet but I'd prefer something with at least a somewhat modern looking interface.
 
i think the same simple interface. no widgets, same plain boring grid of icons. i.e. no, you can't customize your ipad 2 the way you want it. Go to google for that.

I didn't mean physically, I meant the specs. Dual-core cpu, two cameras, hdmi out etc. Very similar specs to the xoom.
