There actually is a website dedicated to this type of desk. It features photos of different configurations and mods people have done. The problem is that Ikea realized the desk to too durable and stopped selling it.

No more Jerkers? I hope mine never goes south. I've had it for almost 4 years. This is as close to an ideal desk as I can figure without getting something from Anthro or custom built. Does Ikea still sell the addons for it?

Nope

I had to buy mine on ebay.

2 shelves cost me like 60 bucks.

Nope

I had to buy mine on ebay.

Well thats cheap. I think they were $45 each MRP.

in fact i actually have two, i replaced the old desk in my room at parents' apartment even though i hardly go back. that can sure serve as a backup in case anything happens to it! :)
