Using Franco's latest, streamed Netflix over wifi for most of the screen on time. Tomorrow I might try 4G and see how long it lasts. 😀

ok stupid question time...

I can't get the calendar to work. It says that I need and account and then it gives me 2 choices, get an account or sign in. When I try to sign in it tells me my account already exists on the phone.

go to settings>accounts and sync, click your google account, and make sure that calendar sync is checked.

also you could try clearing data for the calendar app in settings>apps
 
OK I got it, I just had to login to my Google+ and click on Calendar. When I clicked on Sync it didn't even show a calendar option.
 
when I go to Accounts & sync I just have 2 options Google (my gmail) and Twitter. Under my gmail there wasn't calendar until I went to my account. (so it might have just been gmail and not google+ not sure if there's really a difference).
 
Yeah it will just list the account (email address). Once you tap/click that, you will see all the various sync options for that specific account, and calendar should be one of them.

My main screen is somewhat similar, but I might try and go that route.
I've got a mostly black BG with minimal color swirls, and as of now, still rocking the basic clock widget and only that on the main screen. Don't really have that much going on with any of the screens though... I just haven't gotten around to it, since I'm still not entirely settled with ROMs.

But no BG and a nice clock widget is exactly what I'd like on the default screen, with some good widgets on the other screens too.
 
I had an utter failure moment yesterday with Google Wallet.

Tried to cash in a $20 off $100 Foot Locker coupon and it wouldn't go through for crap. I just ended up eating the $20. The wallet sent fine, but the person on the register said it didn't go through. People on the line behind me were pissed, but I told them to F off and wait. If it was them waiting for $20 off of something, they would make me wait.

Then went to Burger King and was told by the guy on the register that he wouldn't accept any payment that wasn't swiped by him personally... He went so far as to void my order...lol

Is there any place to complain about this?

I've had problems with some people not wanting to take a Google Wallet payment but I golden them about it and used it and it worked fine. I've also had places where they had a Mastercard Paypass thingy but it wasn't actually connected to anything so it wouldn't work.

What does that mean? I have not heard that expression before.

Can't wait till Wallet gets a bit more ubiquitous. It seems like a big deal whenever I try using it.

The only place that has it that I've been to is Jamba Juice. Used it twice and it works fine. I want to know if I can do a split payment with it or something. They have google wallet stickers all over the windows. The chick at the register was awed when I used it lol.
 
I'm not going use Google Wallet til I get better bribes. My credit cards give me 1-3% back on every purchase plus awesome buyer protection and double warranty. Google Wallet prepaid card offers? $10 for new user? Credit cards offer $300 for new users. Now if I received 3% for every $100 deposit with say maximum $3,000-$5,000 limit, I might would use it. We need more vendors and better bribes.

they are supposed to allow more credit cards eventually. i dont get why they dont have that yet. it only supports citi mastercard right now ( i have a citi visa.. cant add it).

i mean its stupid, chase freedom visa is a "blink" card (which is the same as paypass) but you cant add it. but you can wave your plastic chase freedom .

i am not sure about other areas but i havent had a problem using it (i've had more than 1 gnexus , so i've probably spent like $30 in the free $10 things). used it at mcdonalds and rite aid so far and it works fine.

I'm in a poor town full of lazy Americans and underpaid immigrants. It will be a long time before we get Google Wallet stuff around here. Many folks still use cash for 200 dollar grocery trips.
 
I bought the extended battery today and although I haven't tested it much, I am impressed at how much more solid the phone feels. The added weight really makes the phone feel more "expensive" and higher quality in the hand. It honestly feels like a different phone.

Didn't bulk it up much, but there definitely is some more thickness.

Also, I am using the Liquidsmoothh ROM and WOW. It's just like the ROM's developer says, my phone is watery (you have to play with the settings to get it that way.) I am VERY nitpicky with even the slightest UI choppiness, and I have ZERO complaints about this ROM. It's that frikken smooth.

I haven't had an issue yet, but I think I finally found a perfect ROM for me. 🙂 ROM details here.

I might give it a try once the 4.0.4 roms start coming out. I liked the various Liquid roms on my Droid. Been on Rootzboat with my Nexus and too lazy to get off. 🙂

Is there any way I can make my lock screen like that without rooting? Just the different pic/wallpaper is what I care most about, not the buttons.
