If you've got no plans to root, might consider exchanging. That behavior is inconsistent with my experience.

same here rooted or not, something def seems wrong if you are seeing daily or even weekly random reboots. before i romed i never had reboots, after i romed ive had a few but im pretty sure all of them was because i was dicking with things and caused them myself

my buddy is 100% stock ill ask him if he has any issues

I am really hesitant to exchange. I don't willy nilly enjoy swapping my device. If it keeps getting annoying I will.

What you're describing isn't normal and it would annoy the hell out of me. Once a day random reboot and massive slowdowns? I never had any stock Android device reboot on its own. I would swap and move on.

Agreed. If its giving you trouble. Its better to swap now than later.

So I'm curious, if anyone else has this issue that's been driving me nuts. Whenever I type on this thing I keep accidentally hitting the home button when trying to hit the space key. Anyone else have this issue? I love the on-screen buttons of ICS, but this is driving me up the wall, and I can't seem to avoid doing it.

Yeah, I used to do that and it was really, really annoying. I've since adjusted to it though and am able to type relatively quickly.

That happens to me once in a while or while I am typing in the top row, I'll accidentally hit an auto complete word. It's annoying but not a bug. I've mostly adjusted.

Yea I know it's not a bug, just a design issue with the on-screen buttons. Not sure there's really much they can do about it. Only thing I can think of is to make it like what happens to the buttons when you use the camera app. So when you're typing the home button is a dot, so you have to hit it twice to activate it. Make that an option or something for people like me who can't seem to avoid it.

Guys, I am seeing some serious performance issues. I am running stock ROM with ADW. The two issues I am seeing are:

1. Random reboots. I read about it, here, for example but only experienced it maybe once a week. Now it's basically once a day.

2. Really bad slowdowns. This morning I was trying to enter a new event into Calender and it was so slow that there was a 7 second delay between clicking in the location field and having the cursor move there. I started typing and the letters were catching up to me in slow motion. This (slowdown) happens daily and the only way to resolve it is to reboot. Once I do that, things are blazing.

Anyone else with these issues?

What's your ICS version?

Dropped my phone for the first time today... shitty ass plastic construction. I got scratches all over the battery cover.

Use a sock/sleeve. I know it doesn't help when you drop the phone when it's out of the sleeve but the sleeve being neoprene helps a lot if you happen to drop it with the phone inside.
It also helps with scratches and nicks caused by keys in your pocket. Best $2 investment I ever made for my phone.

I had it on my lap when I was getting out of my car. I had just woken up so I was still woozy and didnt notice it. :/

I no longer punch keys and the space bar since using swype. Prior to that I kept doing it and hit home accidentally just like you describe... swype ftw once again. Finish swyping one word, start swyping another... space inserted automagically.

I've always been dumbfounded by the facebook app and how horrible it is. How can a social app that has features that go hand in hand with mobile devices suck so much? You'd think it would be one of the best ones out there considering the resources facebook has.

Also, anyone try the Chrome browser beta yet? Gotta say I like it so far.

I like it, but in some ways Dolphin HD and Opera are still better. Chrome has a ton of potential if Google goes about it the right way.
Extensions, text-wrapping no matter what font- and zoom-settings currently employed, and a few more options in settings please.

It's still my default browser at the moment, but it's going to be awhile before I can go "oh, guess I can uninstall Dolphin HD now." Without extensions, I have to manually load up lastpass in the background. I'm okay with this in some ways, because I do not logon to mobile websites all that often. Most web-oriented services I use mobile apps or browser on desktop.

It has something to do with Facebook not having a QA department. A few ex-Devs from FB work for my current employer now.
