But Verizon is offering 4gb LTE. If you're not on unlimited, taking this (plus much better coverage) is a no-brainer over staying with the Death Star.

Doesn't that end tonight or tomorrow? Kind of lame. I was going to get a Focus S on at&t, but then I learned my whole area is covered by Verizon's LTE. While Verizon is still more expensive, double the data for what would be an extra $10 a month was worth it to me(factoring in corporate discounts). But the only LTE phone that's worth it, at least to me, is the Nexus. I don't want to deal with the bloatware or horrendous battery life that the other phones have. Samsung seems to be doing pretty well with battery life lately.

Are you in USA? How much did you paid total, including tax + shipping?

So it appears clove is selling it for 670+25 and exepansys selling for 740 right now. I just switch over to the tmobile 4g $30 plan, and I need this phone asap! Anyone else think any usa retailers will sell the unlocked gsm version before xmas?

For me it came to just over 700 for tax and shipping (actually there was no sales tax or VAT for it). I'm in the USA using the phone on T-Mobile. It works great on their 21 Mbps HSPA+.

The more time passes between launch and release the more I think my OG droid can last another 6 months... Maybe ill wait for the SGS3 or the iPhone5.

I'm quite the opposite my Droid seems to be caught in a rut and that was after the reset to factor fresh as it was hurting.... Using the newer 4G phones with bigger screens just wants me to throw the droid in the trash. Of course I have propped it a bunch....

GIVE ME MY ICS POWERED GALAXY NEXUS DAMNIT!

I've been ready for an upgrade since september!!!!

and V just went 4g a week ago in my area!!!

I NEED ME SOME POWER IN MY HAND!!!!!

Sorry I was really thinking yesterday was gonna be the early sign up day...

Verizon is like that really cute nerdy girl at school who's hiding perky C cups under that sweater and steel springs for thighs under that skirt, that knows if she took off her glasses and shed her school uniform the guys would Ice Cream Sandwich all over themselves for a piece of her Junk!

Maybe I'm just trying to convince myself that I don't really want the phone so it will make this waiting easier. 😳

So, MediaMarkt in Germany have had some for sale for around 570 euros, and 02.de is looking to sell them for ~600.

I'll be upgrading from an iphone 3G - I've had upgradeitis for ages, and have used other phones for work (SGS2, iPhone 4, HTC Desire S). But I haven't been able to decide on one.

I have a question regarding data plans (especially if you're in Germany). The 1GB/month I get (even on my dated 3G) runs out rather quickly. I'm the kind of user that I'll be on a train to work watching a TED or Google Talks video, play some games at lunch, Skype with some people on the train on the way home, voice call with my boss, Whatsapp internationally, load up Youtube and foodwishes on the way home to get some dinner ideas and so on.

Some of you have talked about grandfathered connections (I presume this is USA only?) o2.de keep lowering my speeds every month saying I'm using too much bandwidth, but I'm a bit wary about this modern trend of very powerful phones with ever faster wireless connections and...the inability to use them at will.

My question is: what do you guys do about your monthly bandwidth? Are there bandwidth tracker apps for Android? Does 'unlimited' actually mean 'unlimited' anywhere, without speed neutering?

i've just moved to o2 uk and i get decent speeds all the time. for us, if we go over our limit we just get billed afaik.

for apps, there's 3g watchdog, netwatcher etc.

unlimited means limited for most ISPs and telcos

Ice Cream Sandwich has built in data monitoring/limiting, no third party apps needed. It's pretty slick, you can see your overall usage, or look at it on a per app basis. You can set warnings, or hard limits for data so that you don't go over a specified limit.

it doesn't matter because the prices will still be about the same until more supply comes in... I could see it falling to $699 though possibly

The latest rumor/leak is a Best Buy internal document showing the Galaxy Nexus as available in-store on December 11th.

You are right, I was thinking about it more, and I realize that even if it was on sale in usa, it would probably still cost $600+. At this point, I am really leaning towards buying it now and eat the 100 cost differences.

Here are the two sites to buy now, which one is the better option right now

http://www.clove.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-nexus-16gb

http://www.expansys-usa.com/google-n...d-16gb-224148/

Since these are are UK imports, will the power adapter be compatible with our outlets here? What about warranties, how many years, and are valid after importing?

It would actually come out cheaper to import it from Clove. It comes with a 2-year warranty. Not sure if you would be able to have it serviced in the USA, though.

i think the only thing i like about buying it at verizon store is that you can return it in store and get replacements from verizon which are rapid replacement .

i just returned my first rezound (it was broken) and am debating if i should get another or pick up this phone , seeing as release is so near. i still dont honestly like the hardware itself , but i'm hoping this isnt super expensive off contract (as rezounds and razrs are all over the place now and you can get one for $500 ish on ebay now)

Yea, its about ~$692 from clove when you convert to usd with shipping, while its $749 from expansys. 2 year warranty is cool, but dam that means you have to ship it back to UK if any issues comes out! dam dam!

WTF MAN, google is base off in california, samsung is in korea, yet UK gets them for sale first, while usa, and korea still doesnt get it!?!?

You can get the phone for $735 on ebay.

Oh yeah and it comes with a European charger. It's just a standard 5V 1A charger though, so just about any USB charger will work.

expansys includes an outlet adapter... and will assist in warranty; but don't bank on a warranty beyond their return policy time frame

Went to a Verizon store today and played around with the razr and rezound. Very impressive, screens look great everything was very fast and smooth. Makes me realize how slow my OG droid really is.
