The yellow tracks look good for NC. Our state needs a good soaker.

i thought so too this morning but if you look at the current drought status, it's gotten a lot better. don't need it as much as i thought.

They're still in extreme drought in western NC. In the Triangle, we're barely at normal rainfall for the year and several inches behind since the middle of last year.

I don't see it making the extreme left hand turn in Georgia like they are showing.

You guys should get some rain up there.

and dave is wrong again as fay begins to take its turn west back into florida.

you didn't say shit about louisiana dave, you said it wouldn't make the turn and it did. you're wrong sorry bud.

It's starting to turn up into Georgia as I said not all the way over in Mississippi.

Well of course, you're in North Carolina, you'd be the last place they will try and get that much money out of. Well actually probably South Carolina you guy at least have Nascar and Wachovia although the bank won't be there much longer.

hahahaha that little tiny shit? ok dave. do this for me, look at the SE radar, the big one that shows the whole southeast and see where the rain from the storm is. it's no where near south carolina. there are storms near the GA/SC border but they look to be typical summer afternoon storms.

oh and by the way, it made the left hand turn that you said it wouldn't make.

you know you really should be a weatherman, that way you can be wrong all the time like you are now and actually be able to keep your job for a change.

Our pond had almost dried up, but in one day Fay dropped enough rain to fill it completely and then some. Water was pouring out the overflow pipe and was flowing over the spillway. I haven't been outside this morning to see if the dam was still there. It's already pourung down rain again. We keep getting caught in bands that move continuously over us. Not complaining though, I'll take the escess rain over drought anytime.

I'm in Tallahassee, so not far from you, and my highly technical, extremely scientific ceramic bunny rain gauge says we have had 11.25" of rain in our backyard from 8 AM Friday until 8 AM Sunday. Currently not raining. Were without power for about 2 hrs Sat morning, but that has been all. We stayed in all day yesterday which I think was the wisest couse of action.

Also in Tallahassee ...

Wife and I ran a couple errands yesterday and saw a lot of police and utility activity. We saw a lot of areas with rising water.

Today there are streets with water from overflowed drainage ... Trees down ... and a couple neighborhoods that are forked ... of course speckled here and there are individual houses with drainage problems ...

I would say we definitely got more than the 10" the news said. Heak, it was coming down an inch an hour at times yesterday afternoon ...

In a lot of places the water is still rising because of runoff and collection ...

Yep, it rained from the storm and you said it wouldn't.

Pretty open and shut.

Also that front coming through the Ohio valley looks pretty weak at this point.

That and an upperlevel low that rolled in off the east coast putting a squeeze play on.

It could open the door for a onrush of moisture from the gulf streaming into southern Appalacha which is sorely needed.

Will you stand in the rain?

I haven't read what started the rift between John and Dmcowen, but ya'll both are actin' like fools :) ...

------------------------------

Buck lake is the name of the road in 3 of the pics below ... this wasn't the lake until yesterday ... The fence is chest-high horse fence. Normally 95% is exposed, though it is in a low lying field. There is a sidewalk that is covered in water. I'd say it's over 10 ft deep in the middle there ...

http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/blieb1/BuckLake_2.jpg
http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/blieb1/BuckLake_3.jpg

This section was pretty deep, saw a few trucks go through over the tracks but didn't want to risk it with my little pickup :)
http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/b...1/Capitola_Chaires.jpg

This looked most dangerous as it was pretty deep and you could see that it was running pretty good:
http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/blieb1/Capitola.jpg

We also saw a BMW go through a road with water 1/3 up the doors ... it was NUTS, but he made it ...
