That doesn't add up because Bungie stated the system was not based around winning or losing. The fact that 5-8 in a 4 person game will be the losing team. Unless it goes by the Bungie rating, which in any case I am almost never in the bottom half. The fact that one a couple days I only played 3-4 games and didn't average the high scoring I did on the days I played well, leads me to believe the system is flawed. The two guys I usually play with (and consistently do better than) got put in Gold division... It has to amass from the times I played without them and lost some rating somehow for doing poorly.
The fact that the rating system is flawed was what I was trying to point out in my dominating wins. The ratings are relative to the other players, and to the game. Going 9-0 in a game nets you far less rating than going 20-25, which is stupid.
The point of the best "set" tracking was to determine your division IIRC on the Bungie site. I can't check at work, but I will be looking into it. The fact most frustrating thing is, despite being better than those I play with, I get placed in a lower division. Now, will I face against only people in my division now? Because if so, I will dominate. The doubles rating crap is even more frustrating because it is impossible to achieve a high rating when the other team quits out 3-4 minutes into the match. I have played maybe 10 doubles games, and finished maybe 4 to the full 25 kills, two of which are my only two doubles losses.
