Well the main reason I beat it was because I was off yesterday, otherwise I don't think I'd be halfway yet. I really enjoyed the game though.

I'm always up for regular multiplayer, even though I"m still trying to get good at it 😉

Gravity hammer is sick

The campaign mode doesn't really "pick up" IMO until the 3rd level. The first 2 levels are somewhat slow, especially in comparison to the next ones that follow. Levels 3-7 all kick major ass and the last one is just sick as hell. the game really goes out with a bang.

Man, that last level is badass. It's a hell of a lot more fun on coop also, at least I think so.

The snow level and then the escape at the end... ahhh man I want to play through it again.

I think I messed up though. After reading around I suppose you have to watch through the credits to see some more cutscenes at the end. I ended the credits because I was getting an invite to play some multiplayer. Is this true?

I was off yesterday too. 🙂 Played from 11-4:30, dinner, came back about 9:30 and stopped at 11. Then I ended up fvcking around and not going to bed until 1...should have just played H3 🙁

You should. I admit - I'm a Halo fanboi and I found the first few levels to be pretty boring. I was like "wtf...I waited 3 years for this crap?" It definitely gets a whole lot better...more of a Halo 1 SP feel.

And as stupid as it sounds - I used to "Revert to Saved" a lot in order to try to save some of my Marines...who just ended up dying anyway. 🙁 And is it just me or has their driving gotten really bad? I don't remember them being this sh!tty at driving the Warthog in H2.

Yes, the mute button is a godsend. What's funny about me muting those two guys is that I did it probably 30 seconds into the match. After listening to them in the lobby and then first of the game, they literally didn't shut up the whole time. The rest of the match was fun after they were muted....it's amazing how loud mouths can ruin a game.

There was another guy in one of my matches who had a radio playing in the background, not loud enough for me to hear the music, but loud enough to keep his mic on and white noise audible. I asked who it was, he said it was him, yet he didn't bother to turn the damn thing off or down. MUTE!

That happened a lot to me too. I ended up getting out and getting back in and that usually fixed it. Or a few bullets to his chest helps too 😀

To keep all my thoughts separate, here's the only thing thus far that annoys me about this game (yes, the only nag I have so far). When in theater mode, why the hell couldn't Bungie make the left trigger rewind? It's so ridiculous to have to use a menu to go back every 10 seconds when the right trigger will move forward frame by frame. Plus, I can't remember exactly what the left trigger was for, but I do remember thinking that it wasn't that grand of a function, and could've been mapped elsewhere.

That's my only complaint so far. This rest of this game seems polished as hell.

I feel the same way. I actually pull the left trigger constantly trying to rewind as that just feels natural.

The left trigger is useful when you are in free-moving mode or whatever it's called. If you hold it the camera moves much faster than the very slow normal speed.

I played for about 90 minutes yesterday. Solo.

I was blown away. The movement and controls are perfect. precise and fluid. I've never experience a more perfect experience. I havent touched online play yet or MP but I'd already rate this the best game I've ever played.

I think this is more of a technical issue than a design issue, because remember it's actual game data not a video file.

I'm thinking that each "key frame" you can go back to is basically like an undo point of everything it has since processed in the data. I guess since I'm a programmer, and we have an undo system in our software here, I can kind of understand the technical reasons why they couldn't do it.

but then I think about the madden replays and how when you slow motion forward/backward, it is super smooth and also lets you go back/forward no problem. but then again, it's only for like a 5 second play.

I heard that the special cutscene is only there after the credits if you beat it on legendar.

I can verify that it IS there when you beat it on Legendary. I skipped it when I beat it on heroic though.

I can verify that it IS there when you beat it on Legendary. I skipped it when I beat it on heroic though.

IGN said it was there for all difficulties. I'm still in the 7th level so I can't verify that yet, though.

Can anyone explain to me how the "Skill Level" works in Multiplayer? I never played Halo 2 on XBL before, so I'm still relatively new to the rating system.

I'm pretty sure I understand how the whole moving through ranks works (currently at SGT), but I'm lost on the whole Skill Level...Is it based on match victory/medals/ratio? So confused...! 😱

Got home yesterday at around 9pm (have had the game since 12am on tuesday). I played the mp and couldn't be happier =). It is everything Halo 2 was and more. Me and my friend were pretty rockin last night even though we were getting used to things. Anyone up for some games tonight?

i have that too and someone told me it's when your team wins by 30 points or more.

I got a chance to look at the game and we won by 27. I Googled it and someone said that you get it if your team wins by more than 20 so that works out.

when you're supposed to go to hangar I believe can't remember. Its the first thing the woman wanst you to do.

If you go in the wrong direction and the very end you find a funny on converstation between marines.

One is instead the locked door the other wants in for ammo.
