I've only played the first level and part of the 2nd one. So far it's pretty much what I expected.

I never really played Halo games for single player in general. I didn't even finish Halo 2.

I'd give it like an 8 out of 10 probably.

IMO I think COD4 single player will be better than Halo 3 single player. However I think Halo 3 multiplayer will hold my attention longer than COD4 will.

But you have to remember too ... the Halo 3 campaign mode can be played in co-op 4 player whereas the COD4 campaign mode can't, so speaking from that people may see the campaign mode in Halo 3 as better in general.

Oh and the hammer in H3 kicks ass hah.

and if there was no xbox live, i don't think I would have an xbox360.

hell xbox live on original xbox is what actually got me back into console gaming. i was out of it for like 2-3 years until I got xbox live.

I also cancelled my reservation for the original and rereserved for the limited. My Gamestop employee discount makes it $59.49 + tax, figured why the hell not.
 
I'm looking into getting the limited edition too... I tend to like them a bit more, but some just aren't nice enough to warrant it. Rainbow Six Vegas' collector's edition was just a standard box, but Gears of War had a nifty tin.

Dude, if you want the regular version, I'm sure there will be PLENTY on the 25th at whatever time. You'll probably be able to get the LE. I just pre-ordered mine (paid in full) so I didn't have to wait in line on the 25th at midnight and to also ensure I got the LE.
 
I"ll probably go to walmart on at midnight just for the hell of it. why not?

I"m doubting there will be a shortage of copies.
 
Do you guys think it's worth the extra $10 for the collectors? The only thing I can see myself using is the A/V calibration tool. Keep in mind it's going to be $10 extra for overnight shipping so that brings the total to $80. Is it still worth it?
 
Got an email today from Lions Games saying they shipped my copy of Halo 3. Hopefully, it will be here by Monday or Tuesday.

Weird, the e-mail I received included this info
Halo 3 will be shipping on one day early on Monday the 24th. USPS first class shipping could take anywhere from 3 to 7 days to arrive and USPS Priority shipping can take 2 to 3 days.
UPS orders will also ship on Monday the 24th directly from my distributor?s warehouse. Those orders should take 1 to 2 days to arrive. Normally my distributor would time the shipment for a street date arrival, but Microsoft has lowered the boom and is not allowing any shipments to go out sooner then Monday. They are serious about preserving street date.

Damn, that's a nice bag of goodies! But the more I see that helmet, I'm more pleased I didn't buy it. I wonder, though, if all of the legendary editions will have a simple limited edition tin case stuck inside? I assumed it would have it's own thing, not just a couple of extra discs shoved inside the tin and loosely stuck inside the helment stand.

I don't know if you noticed but 9-24 is Monday, not yesterday. That date makes the email rather strange.

Yeah, I'm thinking maybe the postage was printed out for it to be shipped on the 24th. We can do the same when we print out postage for our embroidery/apparel website. Never tried it though.
