I don't know if I'm being overly greedy about this, but;

I'd like a copy of HL2, EP1 and CS;S if anyone's got an extra copy of that we well. 😉
 
I just purchased the game tonight and logged into Steam to start download and my account has been hijacked... I was in chat and I think a bunch of suckers just guessed my password or something.. I cannot believe it. I have never used steam before and my password isn't that obvious although the majority of it was my fault... Purchased it for less than 3 hours and my account's gone... Does anyone know how long it takes for a support ticket to go through? If not then i'm just going to dispute it with Amex or something... sheesh...

You can. Everything is sold separately, but its a better deal to get the Orange Box bundle that includes Ep2, TF2, and Portal (plus HL2 and Episode 1 if you don't already have those). Plus you could play TF2 early.
 
I have to look tonight and see; but after reading the terms and stuff I should have a copy of HL2 to gift out. Sorry, no EP1 though. Will update later tonight.
 
Just a bump to say I no longer have Episode 1 to give away (gave it to Schadenfreude).

Half-Life 2 is still available if someone wants it.
 
I already had HL2; then preordered the O-Box. Anyone know why it's not showing up as being able to gift HL2?
 
Man I own HL2...and I was going to buy the orange box so I may end up participating in this. I'd prefer a discount...😛...I feel like it's Unreal Tournament 2003 all over again.

We'll be unlocking The Orange Box products just after midnight Pacific time next week on the 10th of October. Lots of people have been having a lot of fun with the Team Fortress 2 beta, so we're looking forward to seeing what people think of Portal and Episode Two. The Orange Box will also be available at North American game retailers later on the 10th, for both PC and XBOX 360.

For people that have purchased The Orange Box over Steam, now is the time to decide who your real friends are, since you'll be able to give them the gift of Half-Life 2 or Episode One if you already own those games. We'll have that all ready to go at the start of next week.

pre-loading of Portal and Ep2 have recently started
[i'm at 88% of Portal ... i am guessing it is about 500MB total plus the engine, of course]
