Hey if Hawx 2 and LP2 are your games than the 560 is definitely the better buy.

There are much better bang for your buck cards out there at 1680x1050. 460, 5850, 6850, 6870, 5870, 470, etc.

How would the GTX 470 be a better value than the 560? The 560 even @ reference speeds is faster, and has lower power consumption.

Because you'd pay less and performance would feel the same @1680x1050. That's better value in my book.

Looking at newegg both cost ~$250. Plus it's not only about what games are out now, but about the games that will be coming out in the next year.

Just so you know, the Galaxy GTX 560 Ti GC has a dual BIOS . . .
:whiste:

... and you can brick either card and be denied warranty if it *dies* in the flashed state (meaning you cannot flash it back, but the RMA department can certainly read it)
:colbert:

OK, i'm back to work .. more new cards are coming pretty soon, you know.;)

Are all the GTX 560 based on the same Galaxy SKU? Does all of them have the dual BIOS switch? :awe:

I think that there's higher risk to be hit by a lightning than bricking a card unless if Wreckage flashes it and causes some wreckage on the card which can't be unwrecked and will require of some wrecked magic to unwreck it.

That is the worst attempt at trolling I've seen on this board.

Well we're up and running and lookin good. My 260 used to idle at 47c, the 560 idles at 27c. Nice. During some short benches it got up to 60 or so. Using evga precision for the fan control and clock settings. Did a very modest oc bump to 950core, 1050mem, aint looking for problems. So far so good.
