The game is almost worth it for the mini games alone. For instance one you have to do is DDR-style action with a lowrider and it's Hydraulics.
Make the car dance to the music!
Also running people down with the BMX bike is amusing, too.

I walked Target the day after it came out, and they must have had 80 copies of it. Meanwhile the game stores were sold out. Gotta try different places to find it.

Has anyone done the mission where you have to follow the dude on the motorcycle to kill him? The motorcyle is too hard to ride, and he takes too many unexpected twists. I can't stay with him.

Ya I beat it, You don't have to follow him exactly. If your able to watch the map and see were he is going, and say he ducks thru a alleyway and you overshoot... it may be quicker just to drive around the block and catch up to him that a way... he'll slow down and wait for you for a little while.
Also you can take a bit tighter turns on the motorcycle if you hit the "e-brake" button (rear brakes only) and pull back and diagonally in the way you want to turn. If you decent enough at it you can make your rear end slide around while getting rid of a bunch of speed so that you can turn much sharper then you would otherwise.
Kinda like while driving fast, slam on the brakes, then hit the e-brake and pull back and skid slightly around. You can do quick 180's and stuff like that on a bike if your good enough and aren't driving to fast.
It'll take some practice. If you want just steal a cop motorcycle and spend some time just driving around, go fast and slam on your brakes and get the feel for doing the controlled skidding. It's fun after a while and you can pull some neat tricks.
Be sure to keep a eye on your life bar. Falling off the bike hurts your character. Hit the fast food places for new life.
One trick you get points for is a 'stoppie'. Go very fast, lean all the way forward (push up to lean forward, push back and lean back) and slam on your brakes, if you do it right you can get up on the front wheel and balance their for a bit. After a couple seconds you can get points and some little bit of money.

I've played the game for a couple hours so far its good. I only got 1 complaint so far. Which is I hate the music. Only good song I've heard so far is "Gun's n Rose's: Welcome to the jungle". What sucks is it might play ever 30 mins or longer(havent timed it). I liked Vice City's music a bit better. I wish they would have put more Gun's n Rose's, some Bon Jovi, some Poison or something. I could have lived without the rap and country.
BTW is it just my game or does the train not touch the tracks and is hovering? Looks like Rockstar forgot to add the wheels on it. Can anyone comfirm this?

I havent seen the train yet, or atleast havent noticed.
About the music, if you dont like rap, why did you get the game? You didnt notice the theme of the game from the commercials and ads? There might be alot of rap, but there are a few (2 i think) that play no rap....just learn which stations those are and switch to them.....
There are more non-rap stations, than rap stations. Bounce FM plays funk, K-Rose plays country,K-DST plays classic rock, Radio X plays "alternative" rock, K-JAH plays Reggae, and Master Sounds which plays some nice older soul and funk. The only stations that play rap, hip-hop, or something like it are Playback, Radio Los Santos, and CSR 103.2 (which is mainly R&B).
The vice city sound track was one of the best things about it, but even then that got old after a while.

Well yeah the theme looked gangsta or whatever you wanna call it. But thats fine with me. But the ad's was playing "Gun's n Rose's" all through it not rap so I kinda assumed it would have alot of decent music. Since Rockstar is using the song in their ad's I am betting its one of the most popular/best songs in the game. IMO it is the best song I've heard so far which isnt saying much.
BTW I found the train by following the tracks a good distance. Can anyone confirm the train isnt touching the rails and may not even have any wheels. Could have just been where I was at on the tracks.

OK, has anyone done the absolutely RIDICULOUS, DDR type mission where you dance on the beach? I've done this mission so many times, and I can't get anywhere near 4000. The symbols come way too close together, and you have to be too quick. Why the hell did they put this crap in the game anyway? I don't like DDR, and I'm not good at it to begin with, now I have to do it to progress in the game?
I officially cannot do this stupid freaking DDR mission. I'm fine for the first part of the dance, but once the symbols keep coming one after another, I'm screwed. The highest score I've gotten is 2300. Do you really have to do this stupid mission to move on in the game? Argh!!
EDIT: Frustrated at not being able to do this mission, I started roaming around. In the on of the hick town police stations, in the shower, there is a purple double-ended dildo you can pick up to use as a weapon! Hilarious!!

I STILL can't beat this freaking Life's a Beach DDR mission. I want to break this frigging game in half at this point. I swear, whoever at Rockstar that was responsible for this mission should be beat with my broken god damn PS2 controller! This mission SERIOUSLY makes baby jesus cry.
