I installed the JMicron "Standard IDE" driver, which worked fine; if I follow the instructions above, however, and connect my HDD to the Giga ports and switch the onboard SATA to AHCI rather than IDE, the RAID screen pops up after POST (even tho I did not select "RAID/IDE" in BIOS) and I'm hit with a really quick blue screen with text on it (so fast that I can't read anything) before the machine reboots. 1. Disable fan control in bios to run the fan at full speed.
2. Use CoreTemp to check temperatures. The bios is usually around 10 degrees lower.
