England has the talent to beat any of the top teams in an elimination match, but they sure couldn't get past the parked bus...

It's a smart strategy against England in the knockout stages. Park the bus and then beat them in a penalty shootout, after all it's a widely known fact that England always fail at penalty shootouts.

More talent wouldn't hurt either but Argentina is a loaded team that any of the top nations would have issues with.

I blame Klinsmann. It was his job to get the team back into the game after that goal with three minutes of game played.

Ahhh, Sweden. Couldn't score a single goal the entire tournament.
No more Zlatan for international play and Isaksson (goalie) is retiring. Won't be relevant for at least a decade.
Stick with hockey.

Wales through to the quarter finals! Sucks for NI for that own goal, but it was a decent game. Poland also through on penalties. Can't wait for Embolo to be in Man U next season. 4 wonderkids in one club? I'll take it.

Portugal Croatia was rough. What an awful match. I almost had to Brexit that one. ^_^

Well I'll repeat what I saw elsewhere: One of them must Eurexit the tournament. It's just a shame they had to sell tickets & televise it.

Italy wins their group and, as a "reward", they get to play Spain. If they win, the next is probably Germany, and then France/England assuming no major upsets.
On the other hand, Belgium was a runner up, and their road to finals is Hungary, Wales, and then Portugal/Poland.

Germany, Spain, Italy, France, England are all in one half of round 16. Aside from Belgium, the two best teams in the other half (Cro and Por) had to play each other right away.
It's like someone didn't shuffle the card deck...
Good for the viewers I guess, we get to see some strong matchups in each stage.

Yeah, Cro vs Por was boring, Cro wasn't good, but didn't deserve to lose, Por was even worse.

If England gets eliminated, does that count for Brexit since Wales is still in (N. Ireland is out, Scotland didn't qualify)?

France sneak through and Germany dominates to move on!

This is Belgium's chance. Though, I don't know if they can get past the sweat pants!
