I'll play through the Souls games once every year to year and a half, playing a build I haven't tried yet. I do the same for Sekiro, but obviously no actual builds in that game.

June 21st is the release date.

On PSN it's $40. That is what I expected... mainly because it's probably going to be decently sized.

Nice. I'm def getting on Steam though since now I have the gpu to outperform my PS5 where I originally played the game. But crap, SMT V Vengeance comes out the same day and I'm an even bigger Megaten nut than I am a FromSoft fan.

I was following some YouTube walkthrough and am still in part 61 of that guide lol so I'm not anywhere near done the first game...no clue when I'll go back to it so I'll wait before getting any dlc.

Definite play for me. I’ll have to decide if I restart from NG+ on my old PS5 save or buy it again for PC and start fresh so I can crank the graphics up.

Well, I just started my 67th playthrough. I have several saves at either journey 6 or 7 and I read that if I use one of those hi-level of saves on the new DLC that it would near impossible to play because the new bosses in the DLC are said to make Malenia look like a walk through the park. So, I stated a new game and will max out on this and save it for when the DLC hits.

Elden Beast was by far the worst part of this game. The final boss is pretty much the only criticism I have of the whole game. The whole time you face these big badass bosses who just try to come at you non stop in tight quarters. Then you get to the final boss and it's basically running away the whole time in an area the size of 5 football fields. It just was totally different than anything in the whole game and simply just was not fun.
I just finally finished the game for the first time. I thought the last boss fight was awesome. Incredibly creative art style and beautiful graphics on both phases of the boss.

Overall probably one of my favorite games of all time and quite possibly the greatest video game ever made.

My opinion as well. Get the sacred relic sword and max it out.

I started ER with samurai class. I'm discovering that I like to use the shield for defense. But I've been reading the shield isn't adequate for my class. What are the defensive skills of the samurai?

On a side note, I wish ER had a locked on camera like Ninja Gaiden. Having to reset the camera while fighting is very frustrating.

I saw what had to be unlocked for access to the DLC and hadn't done it so went back and fought Rahdan and then Mohg. I'm on NG+2 and Rahdan was a piece of cake but Mohg was pretty tough. I had to use guides to remember how to get to those guys and it took quite some time to get used to the controls again, but now I'm ready.

This game is good, really good. Crucible knight has been fun. Finally figuring out I need to roll into him and then unload unsheathe. I need to invest more in mind points though, bah.

I really like the jump mechanic in this game. I hope it is included in all Fromsoft games going forward.

95 on MC, lol.

I am still playing Rebirth so it might be a bit before I start on SotE, but looks like it should be really good.

Oh this is wild. New patch is out and they added the ability to use Torrent during the Final Boss, lolz.
Yup.

Clearly I was not the only one who thought that was the worst part of the game.
