I was able to beat the dragon in the starting area and that one ghost mini boss in the swamps.

The dragon was not bad at all with my weapon at +4. I found it easier to just ride around on the horse and hit him rather than on foot and try to stay by his face.
 
The freaking gargoyles are the most annoying boss I think I have ever fought in a Souls game. Two at once, they both have huge health bars, they spew poison and if you roll to dodge an attack at that time congrats, instant full poisoning. Ugh my character is level 79 with +15 uchigatana and I'm decent at evading the gargoyle attacks, but two at once who spit poison, have huge reach, and are extremely agile is really tough. While Starscourge was a pain in the *** at least it was a pretty well designed and interesting fight unlike any other I have played in the series with how important Torrent is to it as well as summoning a bunch of allies, but this 2 on 1 battle feels ultra cheap.
 
Double bosses are my kryptonite. Even easy ones. For some reason I just start panicking so much more quickly with two of them.

I loved Ornstein & Smough in Dark Souls 1 even though it took me a lot of tries to come up with a good strategy and then execute, but this gargoyle double boss fight is super cheap.
 
There was a double boss fight in Metroid Dread that was kind of a pain in the ass too lol.

The double boss in Demon's Souls also gave me trouble.

I still haven't beaten Godrick lol.
 
Took care of the Fire Giant last night and Radahn today. My biggest gripe with this game is the pure RNG of the fights. The ones that I struggled with played out completely different than the ones I won easily.

Ugh Radahn was tough, but not cheap like these two gargoyles.
 
Found the Raya Lucaria Soldier summons yesterday and found a bunch of the things to upgrade my summons as well.

Upgraded that to +3 and then went back to Godrick with my +5 uginata (was +4 last time I face him) and I completely whooped him on the first try. Still had 3 flasks left when I defeated him and had my summons left still. Funny how leveling things up helps!

I don't really know what triggered it but someone new showed up at the round table and then after some dialog chains it becomes unlocked.

Honestly the whole mystique behind this game is part of what is awesome about it. And that is why I don't really have any interest in looking up spoilers and following guides and stuff for this kind of game. I love just randomly figuring out stuff and seeing the results from it.

There's a lady at stormhill shack in a red outfit. If you exhaust her dialogue she gives you the jelly fish summons. Later she ends up at the round table. If you talk to the blacksmith and ask him about Rodena or whatever her name is, he will say something about her.

You then go back and talk to that lady, she should be in the room before the blacksmith in the roundtable hold area.

Then you go back and talk to the blacksmith again and next time she will be sitting next to the blacksmith and you will be able to upgrade your spirits.

I do it almost every time too and still have no clue WTF that menu that pops up says. Like I can't remember even though I've seen it so much, cause I'm annoyed and not paying attention.
 
LOL now just did an underground area littered with ghost gloveworts, and high level ones on top of that, which allowed me to max out my mimic ash at +10. Then summoning that made the double gargoyle fight easy, and got it on my first try.
 
Oh man, never change FromSoft. LOL just had to fight a boss in a lake of scarlet rot with a tiny little island to stand on and hope I didn't get knocked off of. If you haven't gotten to scarlet rot yet, it's like poison if it killed you 3x as fast.
 
So last night I was messing around in Stormveil Castle and christ, there is like a whole other part of the castle I did not even know existed before I beat Godrick. It was very hard for me to turn off the game last night because it just kept going and going lol.
 
So, I'm at the point of wrapping up the main quest boss. I've beat a good number of optional ones and not sure I want to track down the rest. Pretty OP as it stands which has removed a lot of the challenge. Didn't even intentionally level beyond getting INT up to 16 to use the Ruins Greatsword. It just wrecks everything and made the Godskin Duo fight trivial.
 
Last night I finished up Stormveil castle and I think I have literally found everything you can in it. The thing I was talking about a few nights ago after I beat Godrick wasn't what I was thinking it would be. It basically put me in the basement but I thought it was going to get me to the bridge.

Then I found another area I hadn't been to and I am like 90% sure the path wasn't even open prior to beating Godrick, which explains why I didn't see it beforehand. It might have been and I just missed it but I thought I explored everything. Then I made my way across the bridge.

I also ended up exploring the academy a bit more and defeated the first "boss". I also went down to the bottom of the lift area and got killed, but spawned somewhere else on the map afterwards which was like a huge WTF just happened lol. And I'm guessing it's intentional because the same thing that killed me ended up being a boss where I spawned, only there were 2 of them.

The more I play this game the more messed up it is (in a good way) and just makes me wonder how the hell did these guys come up with all of this. Just from the level design, to all the mysteriousness, to how much variety in enemies and weapons there are, like everything. It is just kind of hard to grasp how much is in this game and how much thought went into it.

Even like Stormveil Castle, like when you are on the roofs and one of the towers has an extended area you can jump to and walk around, which leads you to some platforming and a whole new area of the castle. It's just genius and not in your face at all.

Oh and then you have the "hidden" walls that you can hit and they open up paths. Those are kind of messed up lol. I have found 2 of them thus far and both rewarded me with something nice.
 
So are you guys putting anything into endurance? It seems like you get so little stamina benefit per level you dump into it, so seems like kind of a waste if you don't care about using heavy armor. I don't block much anyways since I don't use a shield so keeping endurance at the default the samurai starts at has left me with plenty of stamina for bossfights so far. Also speaking of bossfights, ugh took me way too many tries to finally take down Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader.
 
I do, I mainly have 19 vigor now, 18 strength and 17 endurance but I'm mostly doing a quality build and I do use a shield and a long sword.
