I equipped my Ess of Johan with a String of Ears (replaced my Harrington) and my EQ Barb destroyed T4. I bumped it to T5 and it is melting everything. I have to watch out for frozen as that can be brutal. I may try T6.

I found a burning axe with 20% fire, socket and strength (rolled to higher damage) and another SoJ today (lightning damage).

I found my second piece of Marauders (pants) while on my Barb. I would have preferred an EQ set of pants to maybe replace my current ones.

I gambled my EQ shoulders for the transmog.

I have now found the two rarest set of gloves while on my Barb, T&T and Frostburns.

I run an EQ Barb (I am trying to roll better shoulders) atm and it is actually fun.

I made my Barb WW last night and my sheet dps hit 1.757 million in packs. It was nice. I love WW but the damage for elites is not that great. Compared to EQ, it takes a while to kill elites.

Also, a Blue stated that the change to the female leap will be reverted. When they do this, they will increase the leap speed of Male and Female Barbs.

There is a Blue post on ground effects doing too much damage. They will be fixing it soon.

Just a heads up, there was a blue post that stated 5 specific sets are going to be re-worked (retroactive itemization as well) when patch 2.1.0 comes out, so I would avoid salvaging any of these set pieces until we know what the changes will be.

I'm still waiting for my day when a TF or SoH drops. Was playing with another monk yesterday and they said that they've gotten 4 SoH's so far and the one they had on was the best one (and it was really, really good). We were rifting T4 and he was easily mowing stuff down with both on (TH/SoH). Meanwhile, I'm struggling to stay alive with my measly fire build. I wanted to throw my keyboard.

This is the reason why I hate the fact that they removed the AH. I have terrible luck...always have in games. So the AH allowed me to manipulate that terrible luck some with a little bit of strategy. Now, I'm relying solely on my luck; which absolutely sucks.

Was doing T6 runs last night with some buddies. It sems easy now, lol. However, my luck is so horrible. I think we did 5-6 runs in t6, not a single piece of jade dropped. Got a helltooth glove from kadala instead 🙁. Loving the pets build.

I believe so. If I remember correctly, I gambled 2x Firebird helms from Kadala.

Also, played about 3 hours yesterday. Got probably 6-7 BS plans and at least 10 legendaries. All sucked of course, except for 1 set pc (Raekor's, which I found on my wizard lol).

Yeah, I've gotten Tal's helm and Vyr's chest from Kadala so far.

Thanks for the confirmations guys. I know what I'm spending my shards on. If I can get Tal's chest, as well as Vyr's pants, then I can have both their full set bonuses while keeping a 24% arcane Moonlight Ward amulet equipped.

I was a little sad earlier today though. A barb in one of my games got a non smart loot Tal's chest that rolled with 3 sockets and great stats. Just exactly what I'm looking for.

I love how paper dps is meaningless for real now. My WD is 570 or so dps, and can do T6. I was doing some T3 with some buddies recently that don't realize how undergeared they really were. They were bragging about 1.7m dps and such, but they're toast in t6. Toughness and damage reduction is critical at higher levels. I use the dog passive and my UK searpant for over 40% damage reduction.

I think the WD paperdoll DPS is a farce, especially with how the builds work. It doesn't really rely on how much damage you can do, as much as how much damage your pets do + your ability to spam soul harvest (if you have the Jade set), neither of which is accounted for in sheet DPS.

I don't even look at mine anymore, as it doesn't matter. I look directly at stats that improve my build. Thinks like Tasker and Theo greatly improves your actual damage output, but doesn't get put on the sheet dps. Nor does MoJ. And then you add in elemental and elite damage increases, along with cool down reduction and mana regeneration.

For a pure "auto attacK" type of character, such as monk, sheet dps is a good indication of how much damage they can output, even wizard is decent. But, WD remains the class that is a wild card. I remember seeing guys with low DPS 0 dogs build dominating people before RoS.

That's pretty much my only interest. Don't care about anything else. Stat-building and item farming is an exercise in excel spreadsheets and gambling psychology.

Yup, sheet DPS is rather useless now. My sole metric is diabloprogress now. The elemental DPS and elite+elemental DPS is what's more important and tells a much better story.

With TF and SoH you're Lightning on a Monk.

We'll have to run together. I run a somewhat hybrid build; primarily fire with holy as a minor. I don't have stuns, but don't really need them with Dashing Strike, Cyclone Strike, and Crippling Wave. Also, with Ice Climbers and Julia's I'm immune to being frozen and heal with arcane lasers. 🙂

I'm at a very large impasse now though. I just got a Magefist, Strongarms, and Mempo...and any one of them will require a large amount of rearranging of gear to keep set bonuses (much less I'd like to see about using all 3; haha). Totally stuck on what to do. >.<

I would say if it is your only interest, then pass. This is not a game that you play strictly for story, if you are not into the loot aspect then it is certainly not worth $40 because thats where the bulk of development in these games goes.

That being said, the new act is an improvement in every way over the previous ones, but it is only one act. And since you asked about story so id say no not worth it for $40. Adventure mode is really where its at but if you arent about gearing up and improving your character theres nothing really for you there...

Did not realize the leg buff was on, first time logging in go to clear the ~500 shards I have...never got a gamble legendary and within 300 shards get a meh leg chest and a pretty good set pant.

Yeah it is raining legendaries right now, got so many BS plans as well.

I found the plans for Pender's Purchase and Kethryes bracers. They're both 100% random - WTF? what is the point of making them? I can make set armor that would give much better bonuses instead.

I really don't get the total randomization of legendaries compared to D2's uniques, where you felt you could get a specific unique and count of it to provide certain stats or effects.

This was primarily due to Item 2.0. Prior to this there was a little more uniqueness to items. Now, it's like they modeled everything the same (with the rare single affix that's sought after) and I always thought that was a very dumb move.
