From trying to read through the patch notes;

Major buffs to crusader
Minor buff to barb
Minor nerf/"bug" fix to witch docto
Adjustment to all classes making it easier through runes to focus your char on one damage type.
Overall buff to gold drop rates. Minor localized increases to legendary drop rates.

This about right?

Yep!

I wish that were me following behind someone overpowered. It still takes me ~45 minutes per T1 rift. Just not enough DPS.
The struggles of being a casual...

It's not how often you play, but playing at the right difficulty level. That's a good 3x's longer than it should take to complete a rift. You need to lower the difficulty to get the rift time around 10-15 minutes (for boss spawn), or farm bounty bags on normal to gear up more efficiently.

^^
Agreed, too many people just want to run at higher torments when if you can't burn an elite pack in 5-10 secs you are probably losing out on gear. I think a rule of thumb is if you can't beat every cursed chest and treasure goblin you should lower the difficulty, killng faster more than make sup for the increase drop rates at higher torments.

I actually stomp T3 with my WoW exposive blast build, but I found out that at T2 I can kill slightly faster and just run through the levels I get more xp and far more legendaries. Now I only run T3 rifts with a 4 man set-up.

There was a major nerf to leap EQ barbs (Earthen Might + lut socks + Mighty Earth Set)

I really need to find the zuni chest piece so I can put my soj back on. The zuni ring I have just blows. On the bright side, I had been sitting ont he ren ho flayer for a while not know just how nice it was. Now I don't even spend any mana, and toads are my primary attack now.

Noticed a weird thing last night on my wizard...as did others on b.net forums.

It seems like magic missile conflagrate stacks do not work on all bosses. Like there is a limit to how many stacks there can be. I noticed this on most of the rift bosses I faced last night. I hope this is just a bug, but most likely, Blizz thought it was OP and nerfed it.

So, this will probably be hotfixed today, but I figured I'd let you guys in on it.

The best way to get loot right now is to make a party, create a level 1 character and enter adventure mode on T6. Switch back to your level 70 (game should still be level 1, due to party) and do the rifts really quickly. You get like 115 blood shards per rift to spend on the now buffed Kadala. I managed to get a few good upgrades from this in all of around 20 minutes.

Wait, do games stay open when you switch characters? How do you find that same game? I've never opened a game and tried to switch characters in it.

Edit: So you need someone in your party to hold the game open right? I was thinking you could just solo this. Am I correct in that you need to invite someone to hold the game open while you switch chars?

Man wish I was home today to try that.

Didn't get a single dropped legendary last night, but I did get two plans. aughild's and captain crimson. I may craft two aughild's pieces since I can get the 3 set elite damage bonus with my RRoG.

Kadala still feels like a troll to me.

Yes. You can just invite someone and after you switch characters, they can leave.

I did this last night in a group, swapping rift opens and we both got some decent gear.

Well, yesterday I got probably 20 legendaries from her. (mostly gloves, none of which were T&T... I did get 2 Frostburns though and a nice pair of Fire Walkers).

Abuse Trolldalla while it last. Incoming hotfixed.

I said the same thing to some people last night, and farmed dem shards as fast as possible.

Realistically, I don't see how they can fix this without pissing off a large portion of the community. If they simply make the map the equivelent level of the highest person in the group, they make powerlevel or helping friends pretty hard.

If they put some kind of stupid restriction on blood shards, they punish lower level players from doing rifts.

I think they might just tweak Kadala to drop lower legendary items (punishing anyone not "exploiting").

I suppose, they could only allow your character to get any loot if you are in a map of, at least, your level. That might be the best logical fix, to not piss off anyone except those running these rifts.

They hate split farming as well (and have since closed beta), but haven't moved against it yet either. This could stay in game. Granted, I haven't seen any notes, so they might have a more creative fix in place.

I expect the solution would be to make a different currency for sub-70 rifts - death shards or something - instead of blood shards. You can only spend them if you're <70 - which means any gear you'd get from them would be under 70, and you wouldn't want it on you maxxed guys anyway.

And what happens when you do hit 70? Do any unspent shards disappear or something? Seems like an overly complicated way to stop people from farming. I mean, they might be "abusing" the system to a point, but not an incredible amount.

Hehehe 🙂
Been hotfixed. You only get half the blood shards now. GG Blizzy.

I don't know how quick they'd nerf it... that Rift It Forward community has been around since near release and publicized on the forums. Hopefully they just don't care anymore.

Nevermind:

[LIVE HOTFIXES]

Heroes below level 70 will now receive less Blood Shards from Nephalem Rifts than level 70 characters.*
Level 70 heroes will now receive a greatly reduced amount of Blood Shards from Nephalem Rifts when playing in sub-level 70 games. *

Just a heads up, there was a blue post that stated 5 specific sets are going to be re-worked (retroactive itemization as well) when patch 2.1.0 comes out, so I would avoid salvaging any of these set pieces until we know what the changes will be.

• Firebird’s Finery

• Raiment of a Thousand Storms

• Monkey King’s Garb

• Thorns of the Invoker

• The Shadow’s Mantle
