Ahh, I get what you mean. Pretty neat, I'll give it a shot.

I always saw the "checkpoint reached" message going in there, but it never dawned on me to use it as a repeating TP farming location like VotA.

Lately I've been doing the longer runs because the short repeating runs wore me out, and I like killing the elites at NV5.

when playing with a good group, MP10 act1 warrior's rest runs will give you about as much xp as MP6 act3 runs. at least, that's how it works out with my group of a CM wiz, HOTA barb, and monk.

But an MP6 Act 3 has got to be much faster than an MP10 Act 1 run. Plus that whole getting a good group thing. =)

nah, it takes like 30 seconds to clear WR. that's 1 elite every 30 seconds, loading times inclusive. originally did it for essence farming, but it's actually very comparable to act3 farming, and you get to kill elites every 30 seconds.

the trick is that each game is less than a minute long, therefore when the team leader leaves the game, EVERYONE gets booted out. there is no downtime, just kill the elite, pick up loot, then party leader TP and remakes.

I did this in mp10 with a cm wiz buddy for like an hour once. It just got stale fast, for me that is. I don't think I got 1 single leg either, but you do get good exp.

I got 5 or 6 in an hour last night. I was lucky, but the other guys got at least 3 each. One run gave me 2 legendaries.

I think the exp/hour is debatable there, unless you have spreadsheeted evidence showing otherwise.

My experience gains were always higher with longer runs. Typically anything 35/40 minutes in length was nearing peak exp/hour. Afterwards, you've probably cleared the dense areas and you're spending more time between packs than restarting and building NV again.

I'm curious to see how that works though. Maybe I need to start spreadsheeting my runs again. >.<

just anecdotal evidence. it's probably not comparable to proper a3 runs with 5 stacks. the warrior's rest runs are always done at 0 stacks.

4 player MP10 CotA runs will be even better once 1.08 hits.
monsters will only get 50% more HP per player instead of 70%, so 2.5x HP instead of 3.1x.

Also, a 10% MULTIPLICATIVE exp/mf/gf bonus per additional player. all other bonus are only additive, so that's a pretty substantial increase.

and increased density in acts I, II, and IV, though not sure if CotA will see substantial changes since it's already pretty dense in there.

I just want an endless dungeon already. Why not just all out cater to people who want to farm? Something that just continues to go deeper and deeper. Maybe 3-5 elites per level. Every 5 levels have a mini boss. They could even make it if you die, you have to restart the game.

This idea I like. While I prefer switching it up and jumping from act to act, I can see a 100 level dungeon with a random design layout and motif, boss every 5 levels, big boss every 10 levels, and they could throw the Hellfire Ring fights in at every 33rd. Then the entire boss gamut at level 100, including the big D him, err, herself. Checkpoints have to be earned by progress and can't be shared by someone else getting there and TP'ing you in.

I'll believe it when I see, but really.. I am so sick of Act 3.

based on the PTR forum, initial results are mostly positive. personally, i refuse to play the PTR because i figure the 1st monster I kill will drop a 1400 DPS, dex, dual socket manti

Last PTR within the first hour I got a 6 crit mempo. I refuse to go back to a PTR now.

Had some success with the MP10 crypt runs again last night. Took a few to get going, but ended up with a Chantodo's Will and some IK gloves in addition to some throwaway legendaries.

I might get 2M for the wand and 1M for the gloves, but probably closer to 1M total for both together.

I wonder how long a run would take me solo. I might end up doing this. I heard the bonus item makes a big difference in loot, and MP10 is 100%

It usually works best when you have 4 and customize the skills if each person for the run. I think barb + monk + dh + wiz works really well.

It is taking me around 2 minutes to kill the elite if he doesn't have extra health. Idk how worth it it is, but I might keep going for awhile. At least it isn't more Act III yawn mode.

Oh yeah this is much better. I am killing them before my WotB is off cooldown. I just died twice some how and still did it. A CM wiz would be probably make it go faster, but I'll take what I can get. (just me and my little scoundrel friend)

Wow and it has been so long since I've run D3 on the highest settings (VC died and have been using the one from my HTPC) and wow, it looks a lot better than I remember.

Remember doing A1 runs before MP existed? Monster Power made the game so much more enjoyable again.

This will sound silly, but it works for not making the game feel like a chore. I usually think the frivolity of achievements made them not worth the time, but I've been using them as a side-focus to mix it up pretty good. Collecting keys from all of the acts at the same time makes the game not as drone or chored.

I tried MP10 a while ago, but my DPS wasn't nearly in the vicinity of making it worthwhile. Now, with my DPS being much higher and the changes to MP, it may be worth it, but I've found the best results for getting valuable items is quantity, not quality. The same goes for collecting keys. The frequency of rewards has to be somewhat attainable, but to each their own. ^^

You should add me and we can do some runs together. silverpig#1720

Heh, I remember before MP how A1 was so much easier than the other acts in inferno. Also, before they nerfed vault - trail of cinders, it did 1500% dmg as fire and demon hunters could just vault their way through the entire act, burning things to death in their wake. It was so fast.
