It's weird; I'm happy with the patch changes...but I've still barely played. I think I farmed so much before the patch that I'm just sick of it now. It sounds like people are still largely getting dud drops anyway. I did a couple A1 runs post patch, and on all 3 runs the gear was actually noticeably worse. I NEVER would fail to get a rare item drop from a boss pack with 5x neph...my friends and I were running through A1, and all of us had it happen several times. Not sure what's up with that.

I dunno, maybe I'll play more in the autumn when I'm going on vacations less & stuff. Who knows.

From what I've seen, "good" drops from pre-1.04 are now pretty regular/mediocre drops. Amazing drops are still rare as hell, so while you can get a "working" Inferno level character now without using the AH, you still can't get an amazing one.

P.S. Gold farmers are making a killing. Threw on another million gold and it sold within a minute. Price has been hovering around $1.85 the past few days. Wish I had 50 bots going at once?

I haven't had any AMAZING drops ... and still no legendaries even though I've farmed Act I and II for quite a while now. Best sales have been 6 and 1.5 mil ... enough to get me moving slightly forwards, but nothing mind blowing.

Got a legendary drop last night but didn't seem to be anything amazing. Put it up for 10mil but I'd be surprised if it sells.

Well it seems to me that the player base has decreased once again. I have a ton of good items in AH but they don't sell.

Im at plvl 32 so far and got the ff:

Immortal King Helm (is a keeper, once i get a Immortal chest piece)
Immortal King Boots (with High Dex, trying to sell at 20M)
Immortal King Gloves (with All Resist, trying to sell at 25M)
Andariel's Visage (sold 2m)
Zunimassa's Mask (sold 50$)
Set Ring (sold 7$)
Hellcat Waistguard (sold 10.5M)
Grand Vizier (sold 20M)
5 Legendaries that are crap (Salvage)

Are they new ones or Legacy?

P12

Zero legendaries and set items. Junk rares. Highest DPS 1H was 880; 2H was 1050.

Have done nothing but clear A3 repeatedly to get to P12.

I can at least comment on IK gear. Pieces go for 5 mil with decent stats, so you are way over priced. If the gloves have AR but do not have Crit damage then it's a wash. Maybe if their str is over 150, but even then...

Boots with best stat as dex is just silly. Good luck selling that. The belt fetches a ton of money if it has Frenzy damage on it. The chest is up there, and a decent Boulder Smash is only 15-30 million(1400+ damage and 130 crit damage - seriously looked Tuesday evening)

I'd buy the helm off you, but I only have ~5 million liquid gold atm. PM me a price and the stats if you want, I can get gold if we make a deal.

Edit - Also when the drops first got updated people overspent, you might not be seeing a decrease in player base as much as less demand due to increased supply. (Though I don't doubt the player base dropping, just saying there's other factors)

The IK Gloves has 190 Str//81 Int//64 All Res//260 REGEN//9% CRIT//6% Melee Reduction.
The IK Boots has 90 Str//12% MS/90 Vit/170 Dex//78 All Res.
The IK Helm is not for sale but has stats of 196 Str//11% Life/6% Crit/5% Melee Reduction/61 Dex/Socket.

What's a good viable build for a mid-ranged wizard? Can't access bnet profile at work, stats are approximate and unbuffed.

28k hp (low I know, trying to find pieces with vit that doesn't break the bank)
40% crit
150?~ crit dmg (could be 180, don't remember number)
500~ resist
2k armor
around 28k DPS.

Tired of blizzard kiting as it was just too slow, tried out the old Ww/CM build with storm chaser and have moderate success with it in act 2, but die too much in act 3 for it to be efficient. If anything with firechains or molten comes up I get pretty much instagibbed. Shielding is a problem, and on the odd occasion descreator/waller/AS gets me killed as well.

I have an exp gem in the helm right now, if I toss in a purple I can get about 35k~ hp.

That helm is unbelievable....RS Topaz in that socket.

Couple friends of mine on another board are running/farming at the Vault of the Assassin in A2, and are having pretty good luck. Apparently there's like 6-8 rare or champion packs in there. Anybody have any luck there? (It's one of the places where you get a body part of ZK)

Do that one all of the time. No more luck there than any place else. Just a denser population of elites and rare packs.

I've been running Vault of the Assassin in A2 recently as well a lot because of the density ... but still haven't been garnering any amazing drops. Couple of chest armors I've managed to sell for 6 and 1.5 mil, but beyond that mostly vendor trash.

I need to up my magic find by something other than Paragon levels 😀

Its really no different than anywhere else. Its just people have good luck in one place so they form speculative opinions on where good farm spots are. I think its pretty obvious by now, blizzard made the game pretty damn random. No spots are really better than others...unfortunately. It just comes down to what places have more champ packs thus giving higher chances of rares.

I have gotten bored to death with this game and not finding anything of value outside of my OH in the last six weeks. I had legendary shoulders drop in the keeps and was excited, hoping for a vile ward. When I picked them up, ilvl 58 and I wanted to throw my laptop across the room. Tired of garbage drops period.

I am paragon level 20 now and when I hit 30, if I have not seen a set item drop for me I am 99.99% sure I am uninstalling this game.

Here is my character profile:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Adrenaline-1529/hero/827386

I am sitting at 4290 achievement points and may try to get some more. The ones I need are:
DH kill 100,000 demons (no idea why this is even here actually, the number is really high)
2 of each class to 60 (never saw the point with how easy it is to swap skills)
Pickup 100,000,000 gold (just got the 10,000,000 achievement a day or two ago)
Champion pack kills, I need about 8 (subjugator is bugged)
Rare pack kills, I need about 8 (sand dweller is bugged)
Unique monsters, I need a bunch
I am at 52% on HC achievements (level 40 and done with Act 1 NM. I have been rubber banding way too much since 1.0.4 to even try it out)

I may post a list of the mobs I need to kill for achievements and pay gold for the help. I was thinking 100k for each unique monster, champion pack and rare that I need.

They definitely still have item drop issues. At least in D2 you could count on a unique or set item after X amount of time with decent MF. In this game, even with tons of MF, you still dont find any good items. This is a very flawed mechanic in an ARPG. It feels like they made the chances of legendary/set drops like .00000000000000001% where as in D2 it feels like it was more around the 1-2% chance. You know what I mean...

I like achievements as much as the next guy but I wouldn't really go out of my way for any of them, unless they were really easy. And as you mentioned a lot of the achievements are stupid. Beating Act 2 in under an hour would be hard even on normal, it's just so damn long and big. Beating every act in under an hour is a silly achievement. I didn't even know there were achievement "points".

I cleared Act 1 and 2 in less than one hour and ten minutes combined with my DH a long time ago. I could probably do them both in under an hour combined now.

So I'm now up to 8 legendaries since 1.04

got a 2nd dead mans legacy(quiver), luckily it had perf ias(20%), and crit(10%) and sold it for 55m(47 after fees)

got a 660dps sever(sword) sold for 350k

got Immortal kings glove which I'm pissed about considering 4/6 of the set pieces would automatically get you 20m with the glove and weapon being the 2 that could roll worthless stats which mine did. Currently sitting unsold at 5m. This is my first set piece.

may as well keep a log:
1. stone gaunts(glove) - vendored
2. ivory tower(shield) - salvaged
3. don't remember(gloves I think) - salvaged
4. dead mans(quiver) - 10m
5. andy visage(helm) - 5m
6. dead mans(quiver) - 55m
7. sever(sword) - 350k
8. IK set (gloves) - unsold(5m)
