OK, So I tried an experiment, since I had an auction still going. Someone outbid me; I increased my max bid...only it told me bid failed. Just like the other 5 times, except this time someone outbid me. So if someone outbids me in AH I can't top their bid, even if I have ample gold. How is this fair? Please tell me how these cunts at blizzard think this is even vaguely ok for me to spend 60 dollars on this wise and beautiful woman belch abortion of a game and I can't even compete for gear.

let's say you put in a bid on an item at 100K then you get outbid by someone and that person bids 1M on the item

the AH will only increase the bid price on that item by the minimum amount, so if the minimum bid increase amount is 10K, then the item currently has a bid price up to 110K but will constantly outbid anyone putting in a bid by 10K as long as the other person's bid is below 1M

Oh, and I realized that gems in items is even more annoying, because if the gem isn't that good compared to what I can buy for a cheap price, I end up paying more to remove your crappy gem than it would be to buy a new gem. 1000g to remove a gem vs. 90g to buy one. 😛

A trick I learned was that you can DE an item and you will get back the essence and any socketed gems. While you lose inn vendor $ for selling the item, that is generally made up by not paying removal cost particularly if using real good gems for lower level alts.

ho. le. shit.

ive found an untapped cash cow for mid to upper lvl 30 daggers with 100+ dex, vit and a socket. of the 3 daggers i sold, it seems i undercut myself. 32k 40k and 80k. all roughly the same. all sold within 15 minutes. i feel like i could have gotten 100k easy for each one.

I remember writing that! That was on the old Battle.net forums

Obviously after a lot of play testing we ended up deciding we needed on

In any case, we're going to see how the repair cost reductions in the 1.0.3a patch tomorrow work out, and keep an eye on it. Give it a shot and let us know what you think after tomorrow.e and added a durability loss (ie gold cost) to death sometime pre-beta. The cost we chose at the time ended up being far less impactful than we anticipated, so it was increased in 1.0.3. As we added a cost to death (durability loss) in between when I wrote that (2010) and the release of the game, I think calling it a change of direction is a bit late. We definitely made a huge increase to the death penalty we shipped with, though.? Yeah at the time we wanted to avoidany and all costs to death, except maybe the time to run back. At the time we thought there could be some other solution, or the game just may play better, by not having any 'cost' penalties to death.Originally Posted by Blizzard (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

So I finally got my first legendary drop yesterday... and my second... and my third... yes all in the same day(Innas Glory, Andariels Visage, and some lvl 60 xbow). I was the last in my circle to get a legendary, everyone got theirs at least a month ago, it was starting to become a running joke that I'm bad luck. And just out of the blue, I get all 3 within a 3 hour span after a month and half. So random.

Together, the'll rake in about 1m or under. I don't care really, I just wanted to finally get it. 😛

Wizard is near 130 hour play time. Rest of my characters total around 30 hours.

Still 0 Legendaries for me.

The trek continues...

What I would like for this game (besides a nice clear offline mode as well!) is something AKIN to a Raid..a required 4 player Coop Dungeon with a high risk/reward ratio.

I think grinding inferno elites is semi fun and all..but something along those lines. What do you think.

A Dungeon Besides the standard Inferno that can only be accessed by Coop.

Ponyland is pretty good..but something a bit more structured with random events etc.

Sadly, this game probably will never have a offline mode. Since the game was programmed and set-up to have servers, it would take much more than just a patch to set up client based "worlds and saves" meaning they probably would have to recreate all of Diablo 3 to make that a possibility. Then it would have to be a seperate download on their site.

I don't see them spending time doing this when they are trying to work on the game itself on problems people have pointed out.

Also... did you just suggest an offline player mode and a co-op only end game hard inferno like dungeon in the same post?

That "article" is lol

About halfway through A2 NM on HC barb, I think the only thing I need to worry about until Inferno is Hell Izual and that bastard Shatterbone in front of Alcarnus lol.

I did. I see points of both. I more prefer the Co-op end only...lol.

However, most of the ranting is about lag etc..

Yea just wanted to give a headsup to the guys in HC to watch out for those jerks.

I just don't understand why anyone would play hardcore, would be a huge bummer to get some lag and all of the sudden your level 60 toon is dead.

What does this guy Giantkiller really get out of this anyways? Just to annoy people? I bet the guy is a huge loser in life

I lost count of how many times I died to lag from packs that spawned en masse out of nowhere.

random areas would be a nice change of pace from the same acts and settings over and over and over and over...

I really liked the idea of a challenge or maybe even a purpose to grinding things in inferno. Maybe something just like the Whimseyshire chain. I fairly time consuming task similar to "Attunement to Molten Core" in which you can then be able to queue for the unlocked dungeon that is only available to Coop.

Maybe they fixed it, but you can just run past Shatterbone and into Alcarnus, and Shatterbone will get stuck at the town entrance. His collision size is bigger than the narrow route into Alcarnus.

I've noticed that when an elite pack blows up and drops its goodies, its all the same ilvl for the most part. Maybe its just random but seems like its all either high level or low level never a mix. Probably due to coding.

I miss games that have long attunement chains that are required JUST to do said hard dungeon.

I know not many peoples cup of tea, but I loved putting in that work/effort to get attuned to some dungeon at max level.

Possibly.

I would love it if Magic find also effected the rate at which ilevel gear drops.

Sucks knowing (act 2 for example) has 4% chance of a ilevel 63 dropping. Then you have to factor in Magic find to assume what magic item it is. (modified if killing a champ/elite pack).

im not a fan of time consuming tasks. Between work, 3 kids and all their activities and the things i need to get done in a day, my only time to play is 9pm or later and even then i cant play every night. I also have to be up by 630 in the morning. And my friends that play usually arnt on that late either.

I just want some random places (more varried outdoor areas and dungeons) to crawl through.
