I gave my password to nobody and was hacked. If I was keylogged, my AV and Malwarebytes can't detect it. How does this make me a 'moron'?

Tell me your secret to not being a moron so we all can have that feeling of enlightenment that encourages swinging-dick, douchbag superiority that you revel in.

is your bnet password the same as any other password you use for other accounts?

There are plenty of people who have brand new D3 accounts who are fairly tech savvy, have plenty of anti-virus protection, dont visit fishy websites, dont give their pws out, arnt keylogged, arnt phished, pw's arnt brute forced, etc etc who have been hacked.... Dont just believe everything you read from Blizz because its on the forum in Blue writing....

All they said was that their servers arnt compromised and the session id rumor(they thus far have determined) isnt true. That doesnt mean there isnt other possible code exploits.... It just means the "session id" rumor isnt true.

You're right. It is far more likely they didn't sign up for some website who was compromised with their bnet email and password. Someone is using some kind of exploit in code to steal the login info, which means Blizzard are terrible coders from a security standpoint.

D2 gambling was a lot of fun for me. I hired people to farm me gold for SOJ.

That only worked early on though. 😛

Did you ever play early on gambling when you used to be able to get whichever unique item wasnt carried on the character? IE, if you carried both the nagel and manald ring I think it was(there were only like 3 at that time), it would give soj for the gambled ring always if it came up unique(which it had high probability to)? Ahhh that was a great time....

Nope didn't know about that. I had a bunch where I'd trade an SOJ for 12-15million gold.
I gambled it on just amulets. And I've always gotten atleast a couple amulet with +2 skills with stat and res that made me more sojs

(this was for classic ladder).

I liked how the Rare Item stat system worked in early D2... No two items were alike... I remember getting a 333dmg pike for my barb and it was the highest I saw back then... I think the uniques and rune words took the excitement out... They were all the same... Rares were the bomb!

that was not only for gambling.
When i used to play d2 we made that all the time. If you had a unique ring drop you wouldnt identify it right away. Make you sure had a nagel and a manald and not a SOJ, and when you identify it it was going to be a soj everytime. you even could create a new game or join another game with the ring unidentified and it would still work

Pretty sure the ring was decided when dropped. You needed a nagel and manald in game when it dropped, not when identified

are servers up? leaving work soon.... and it's raining. please say yes.

this... someone update us. The site is blocked at work so I can't check servers either.

I had Tue off last week by chance and was not particularly happy I had an entire day off and couldn't even spend an hour as the servers were down and buggy till midnight EST. Blizzard apparently has difficulty in keeping deadlines as far as ending maintenance is concerned.

This game is so fucking addicting it's unreal. I played a lot of Diablo II but I haven't for a long time so I guess I kinda forgot. LOL, it is crazy though.

What is gold down to now?

When I started playing, I saw them selling in trade channel for as high as $45 USD/million. I lawled at that but got depressed quickly when I realized some people probably actually paid that and I was sitting on a cool 4-5mil at the time.

As of last night, I saw them advertise as low as $12/million and I'm doubly depressed as now I'm sitting on roughtly 12 mil which has less buying power by the day. 🙁

Haha, nice! That made me laugh!

Clearly I'm playing the game wrong, I never broke 200K 🙁 That and I don't use the AH properly I guess haha.

I thought about dumping it too but all this talk about getting hacked and what not, I'm too afraid to do anything in public even though my fears are unfounded. I have the physical authenticator. The other reason being I don't wanna get caught by Blizzard since it's breaking the EULA.
