I throw away all except flawless squares heh. Fyi, you get tons of flawless squares in end of hell and inferno, theres no reason to keep squares. When the commodity AH comes back, id venture a guess that the prices for gems are going to significantly lower than they used to be. I know I have about 30-40 of each gem as flawless squares atm.

And that is why I'm going to spend every gold I have and buy them all out. Because the AH has been down, everyone has them stashed and their prices will be artificually low but eventually people will realize you need hundreds of them to make radiant stars.

I think with all the botting that's going on and hoarding of gold that I might just straight up accumulate gems since its value will inflate accordingly with gold. If I hold onto the 10 mil I got now and do nothing, I won't even be able to buy anything with it.

it's unfortunate that D3 has already been subject to botting.

Where are you people getting all this gold from? Just selling stuff? I dont find any gear worth that much. Most of everything I sell is worth like 20-50k.

I have like 5.3 mil gold and I thought that was a lot.

Dunno man, I've had maybe 200K at one time. I spent everything far opening all my stash spots, and now I'm saving to create the staff of herding. I have +75% gold find on two of my characters as well...

wtf? that is a lot. probably more than 99% of the people have. I am a DH farming inferno and I have only roughly 2 mil. But I have 5+ mil worth of stuff for sale on the AH. hope its sold already. =)

I accumulated my millions by taking advantage of the market inefficiency at launch, that's no longer the case. I can barely make anything in the AH now.

Yeah I've probably sold 25 mil worth of stuff at the AH, but it's definitely a lot slower now... supply on a lot of items seem to be in excess... I need to cut down prices a lot to get things to sell quickly.

If you don't have 10 things listed on the AH at all times, you're doing it wrong!

Some more details on patch 1.03

Notes -

* Item level displayed and increased drop rates in Inferno
* Legendary item revamp not going to be in 1.03
* Less guaranteed rare drops on bosses with Nephalem buff (but still possible to get multiple rare drops)
* Bonus monster damage per additional player in group is being removed
* Monsters damage and health in Inferno Acts 2-4 is being adjusted

* Repair costs at level 60 are going up as they feel the cost is negligible right now and promotes "graveyard zerging"
* Changes to the Attack Speed values as it's deemed too necessary/OP
* Blacksmith/Jeweler cost adjustments
* Small number of class skill changes, but that is not the primary focus of the patch
* Quality of life fixes, improvements to the AH, and bug fixes as well

Interesting, thanks. Drop rates in inferno are increased...but less guaranteed rare drops. Bonus monster damage per additional player being totally eliminated? That's going to be big. Sounds like they are nerfing Inferno a lot, not too much though I hope. What is "Legendary item revamp"?

I must have bad luck, cause I do tons of MFing and I dont find any gear worth million(s). 😛

Anyone feel like powerleveling or doing some coop mf runs today?

Top end items are more expensive than ever, what you're seeing is more players reaching late hell/inferno and hitting a wall at A2 Inferno I'd imagine, so you now have a lot more people farming A1 (or maybe even A4 Hell) creating a large influx of that kind of 'mid range' / 'upper mid' level of gear, driving those prices down.

Just a week or two ago I would search "All Armor" for pieces with at least 80 Str, 80 Vit, and 40 resist all looking for upgrades; I would usually only see a few pages of it altogether. Now when I run that same search, there's five pages of non BIN items on top of pages and pages of BIN items that meet that criteria and the prices for a lot of them (especially belts) have dropped a bit as well.

On the other hand, you have super high end pieces (especially rings, gloves and weapons) that can run anywhere between 30-50-100M for the right mods.

Well, they still wont be on par or feel special like D2 uniques, but they are buffing their stats. Still seems boring to me. I want unique items like D2 had, with special attributes, buffs, abilities, etc that made them feel special. You know?

The lack of the unique stats/abilities is unfortunate. It seems like there are way too many features they left out with the intention of including them in an expansion pack

Well the patch is released, but servers are still down for another hour. Guess I should go do something productive in the meantime.

Really only the legendary weapons are problematic, a lot of legendary armor is widely considered best in slot and highly desirable, often because of their unique properties (block, move speed, aspd in 'non traditional' pieces).

And even then I'd say legendary weapons are only problematic because the power of the random mods on blues is too high. The combination of huge amounts of added elemental damage that can then be augmented by percentage damage increase mods is what allows them to reach so high, which is a pretty significant departure from how weapons worked in D2.

A tip for the AH -

set your criteria (like 100+ int for me as a wizard), then put in a price range high end. If you don't put in the price range top end, you will receive results starting 3+ million gold.

Last night I searched for an amulet with 100+ int with a max buyout of 300k... got this :

9 min dmg
18 max dmg
188 intelligence
11% life

for 200k gold. This raised my dps by 1400 and my life by 2000ish. Very good deal imo, and I find alot like that using the max buyout price to find items priced low.

Yeah, there are some tricks you can do for more efficient AH buying. If youre smart about it, you should always filter by price. I have purchased many items for 5000 gold that are worth like 50-200k. I got a pretty nice 25% MF rare amulet the other day for like 3000 gold lol.

I always filter by price first then start putting in stats I want. Then, what you should do is just slowly increase the price and see if you find good items that are priced too low. 😛

Look for 1d12h items, that means they were just listed. 🙂 Thats what I do.

People bitched about only having those few viable items. In D3 any item can be "good enough".

But D2 had rares with crafting, uniques(some were great and viable) and runewords. Those three elements made it interesting. D3 has like one of those things(which havnt been buffed yet).
