The bot costs like 30 Euros I believe. However, I'm sure it just uses a Direct X injection to identify urns, break them, pick up gold and items. That is just speculation since I don't have it. This should make it "undetectable" to a point. Unless you're doing something too fast for humans to do it would be legit. However, if contacted you won't respond unless you made some canned responses.

I might look into it because I am curious and I'd love an auto loot script. I hate having to pick up items. =(

It's against the EULA I'm sure of it.

It's what Blizzard attributes to the compromised accounts, and I'd be inclined to believe them to an extent depending on how they have to deliver the gold and such.

My friend posted an auction on ebay and had in the listing an email to contact him by. I'd assume it wasn't his real BNet email (at least I hope it wasn't). He got emails before ebay took the item down. He joined the game and traded them the gold after they sent payment.

actually IM amazed you got through hell with 4k DPS, shit without using magic wep im over 4k and im only lvl 55 and have NO AH gear on the wiz (main hand is under 400 DPS as well), pretty sure i sit at like 8k with magic wep using a 1 hander + offhand from drops
found a staff yesterday that i can use next lvl that will boost DPS by nearly 2k

my DH is 55 and is just shy of 11k with sharp shooter, monk is around 6k @59 - i see crap for monk gear.

hmm yea I can change things around and have like 7k dps I think, but I was dying too fast in Hell so I switched some skills around to survive and did it that way. I honestly haven't seen upgrades drop that often so I figured it was how it was supposed to be.

I have gotten rather good at kiting because of this though.

I was in a group that was saying you couldn't do 4 man Hell without a tank will everyone having less than 5k DPS. IDK if that is legit or not.

Woo got a rare 1250 dmg 2hand axe off the AH for pretty cheap (as in all my gold, 1.25 millish). Been having fun with that, but inferno is still inferno. 3200 armor and 34k life and the Butcher one shots me every time.

I have been keeping all my magic find gear on hand, so when a champion mob or mini-boss is about to go down I can equip it all really quick. Stacks nicely with the valor bonus. Speaking of which, I hate that if you change any of your skills you lose your all of your magic find nephelem valor bonus. What is the point of that? I wonder why they implemented that block.

In other news, the text is still big here on anandtech forums because of some mysterious pattern of keyboard keys i accidentally pressed the other day - How can I get the text here back to normal? - Using firefox. Ctrl+mousewheel isn't it, it was keyboard only. Thanks

Easy. Blizzard knew that people would basically go around with their high DPS skill sets, but then just switch out to MF based ones (i.e. the barb specifically). This is also to "lock you in" on a run, so when you get to some uber hard mob you can't just switch skill sets to make that mob easy. I.e. higher resists, more dps but lower health, lower dps but higher health, etc.

Basically they do it so each run you are "locked in" to something and can't change things around to make it easier mid-run.

as a wiz what should i be filtering armor by?
intel + crit + attack speed?

there's no diff from what i've seen from my 22-23k hp to a 38k hp as i get one shot in inferno regardless haha

my dps is 24k ish with a 2 handed staff, should i be going 1 hand wand with an offhand? how are you guys getting over 50k dps ?

1. To not get one shot, you will need Energy Armor/Force Armor and HP over 20k and resists in the 300s or so. Most mobs will not 1 shot you after that.

2. 1h vs 2h depends on which inferno act you are on and what your spec is. For an orb/mm kiting spec, you will need fast attack speed so your animations don't lock you in place, for example.

3. For me to get 48k dps, I use a 950dps 1 hander along with a 100-375 dmg off hand with 115int. I have 12% attack speed on my bracers and 12% on my gloves and run with force weapon.

4. Other stats also provide a DPS boost, crit chance (mine is hovering around 32%), crit damage (mine is +195%).

There is really no best build for inferno, it really depends on the act. In general, I like going with high crit/high crit dmg/orb destruction build. I get arcane back per crit, I get + 10 from helm, + 10 from offhand and +7 from weapon so I get 27 arcane back and it cost 20 arcane per orb and 0 arcane from my hydra attacks per crit (which I do 1 out of 3 attacks). When I fight huge packs that my orb can hit, I never run out of arcane. Smaller packs or fast packs, I tend to run out.

My 950dps 1 hand isn't godly in any sense but for the build I run, it has a lot of synergy. It has a crap 200 dex useless stat but it has +7 arcane energy per crit and +95% crit damage on it so it runs very synergistic with my gear and build.

Edit: So I got one of the craziest deals on the AH a week ago. I got a socketed 195int, 7% crit chance, + 50% crit damage, + 80 regen amulet from some crazy SOB for 40k. LOLOLOL! This amulet alone is worth 5k dps on my wiz. I can easily sell this for 6m+ on the AH.

I am really impressed by Blizzard's customer support. They have 30 day money back guarantee if you dont like the game for some reason. I called them up since I have stopped playing after I beat the game on Normal and have not touched the game for 2 weeks, and it took 5 mins for them to remove the game from my battle.net account and refund the full purchase price!!

I'm really irritated with the lack of versatility with the WD. I hope they make some major adjustments soon. I'm basically stuck with using poison darts in inferno.

I'd really like to summon up all my pets and be able to play. They are useless to even bother with.

What do you mean about high dps vs MF based skill set? I know DH has one ability that lets a companion have increased gold drop, but if they didn't want people to abuse that, they shouldn't have put such a stupid skill in.

Why are they giving penalties to people who need to switch builds depending on the elite type? Shouldn't they encourage rather then penalize the need for flexible builds in the higher difficulty?

I ran several bots in D2 that killed Baal over and over. An ini file had a list of items that determined what the bot picked up... Was really cool... I would let them run for weeks nonstop...

I wish at lvl 60 - they scale based on your stats. Otherwise agree - nothing survives long enough in inferno.

PS, thanks for the assist on Hell Diablo "IAteYourMother". Having a melee in group sure makes things easier for me as a DH.. Had been trying public groups all weekend, and kept getting groups with 1 or 2 others, always other DH or wiz.

Do people actually bail when the groups fill up more than say 2 ppl ? It seems like I could never get in a full group, and rarely 3/4.

Working though Inferno Act 1 if anyone wants to team up (Yreka#1211)

I have to admit, this past week Blizzard has made big improvements as far as lag is concerned. Don't have any of the AH issues anymore. Wonder what they did and what took em so long.

ive actually been experiencing lag spikes this last weekend, which is the first time since launch. my connection to the game freezes up and i die because of it. i think your experiences are just coincidence.

Not really sure I agree with that. I live near the servers and on busy days, I still ping like 150-250. Normally, like in Diablo2, I ping about 20-30 to Blizzard game servers located in Irvine. I see tons of people complain about lag on a daily basis. I feel bad for some who ping 500-800 normally...yes there are people who ping that on a regular basis.

You can tell its server load because I ping 20-30 in D3 early hours of the morning....

last weekend was the first time since release I was able to put significantly more than an hour a time together. early in the day I was running a relatively nice 150ish, later in the day I was back up to the standard just under 300.
