I'm getting destroyed in Act 3 Hell right now. Just getting totally worked over by 100 enemies in the Keep Depths.

No one should complain about any difficulty before Inferno.

Hell mode should mean you are close to lvl 60 which means lvl 60 gear which means you can 1-2 shot almost everything.

I had more difficulty with nightmare simply because I was way undegeared for it while overgeared for hell.

Wow, a fun Witch Doctor build I recently put together that I want to share.

First I'll give you the build then I'll write the description.

Left mouse: Haunt(with mana leach rune)
Right mouse: Lucust Swarm(with mana leach rune)
1: Spirit Walk(healing journey)
2: Hex (hedge magic)
3: Horrify(increase radius to 24 rune)
4: Fetish Army(decrease cooldown to 90 rune)

Passive:
Jungle fortitude (20% less damage)
Bad Medicine (20% less damage from poisoned enemies)
Rush of essence (spirit spells return 30% mana)

---------------------

First off, you are getting 40% damage reduction from passives.
Both Haunt and Lucust automatically spread to enemies(and give you mana in return). (although Haunt spreads only when the enemy dies). You run in, spray locust then haunt 2 or 3 enemies, now you are free to run around with your full attention on avoiding mortar etc... while you watch everything melt around you.

I've been item farming in act 1 inferno with this build for a couple of hours. I havn't tried act 2 yet with it. I'm having tons of fun though.

Only problem: Destroying barrels depletes mana. Could trade out horrify for fireballs if you want but wouldn't reccomend. If playing multiplayer others will be destroying barrels anyways.

What? I'm 60 in Act 3 of Hell and I'm lucky if I see stuff that is level 56 drop lol

 Sorry for the brag

A friend found a rare glove pattern, gave to another friend and they started running act 1 inferno for mats. They crafted a lot of gloves and sold them for a fortune. Three pairs went for over 3 million alone.

Nice find. If it had 3 sockets you could have gotten double.

Where did that drop at?

It looks like he flipped the item. What a beast amount too. Congrats man.

I've got a lvl 53 Wiz on Hell. I'm starting to feel my squishiness for the first time towards the end of act 1. I have about 17k HP and 4900 DPS. If I use Magic Weapon and Sparkflint I can get to about 7500 DPS. I use Magic Missile, Disintegrate, Frost Nova, Diamond Skin, Hydra, and Teleport. Using Power Surge, Evocation, and the +20 AP one.

Just bought a weapon that does 250 DPS + 80 int. Almost all my armor has 80-100 int and usually 50-100 vit. Am I just finding my squishiness or do I need to work a different build?

That seems sick, I have about 15K health, but only do like 1800dps with my lvl 52 monk on act 1 hell.

am i way low? i haven't bought a single AH item...

you can buy a higher DPS weapons for your level for cheap. won't feel squishy anymore when you can 1 shot everything until Inferno

That's pretty sweet, I know those blacksmith plans work out pretty damn nice.

And I didn't find the armor, bought it on AH

you can prob get a wep even cheaper then that, just put in 20k for max and see what comes up

my wiz is 57 in act 3 hell sitting at 9.6k dmg and 20k HP without magic wep, using some ~400 ish damage 1 hander i took from my monk when he got an upgrade + offhand with dmg int and vit

i run blizz + reduced mana, diamond skin + absorb, energy armor + force, venom hydra, shock pulse + orb and arcane orb + reduce cost

blurr, glass cannon and the one that give me stacks on signature spells

also im not sure is others do this but the vendors in the game randomly sell some really good items for under 10k,. check them often, the random one in act 1 on Hell yesterday before you enter the crypt on the way to butcher was selling rings with vit, dex and +dmg, for 9k
i bought 10, sold them all in about 8 seconds for at 30k each

Yeah, for 1m gold that's about current. If you want to make real money off it you'll need to do that. Otherwise, just start farming it for when RMAH hits and buy up items to try and sell for RM.

That gold bot sounds great though.... Tempted to buy another account and farm with it. Decent investment though... 2m IGG+leveling another accnt to 60+gear for that character

Exactly what I thought.

In inferno I've been noticing they sometimes have rares also

I found some gloves on the AH a week ago for my WD that have 146 int faster cast speed, resist all and something else. I paid 35k for them. I could flip them for a nice profit if I wanted to. They are only missing crit but they are really nice.

For you Witch Doctors out there that are having trouble with Inferno, I just wanted to post a link to a thread going on in the D3 WD forum: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5149014804

This guy knows what he is talking about. Very informative and should help you out a lot. He said he is planning on making guides for other classes as well when he gets time.

Lotta easy gold out there. That's the real bot someone should make...

Stupid work blocked.

Witch doctors - I'm in Act 1 Inferno and I've implemented the Leaping Spiders into my arsenal and I'm actually enjoying farming instead of shooting stupid darts it's spiders urns. Since they atk insanely fast x 4 spiders you toss 10 barrels you can get some 80k dmg if they hit for 2k a piece in short time. I need to stack more +atk speed so I can toss more urns at a more rapid pace. More urns more dps is how I see it.

Try it out and report back. My secondary AOE is zombie bears.

I do not like this build, once you are out of mana you are F'd. You need a low mana cost ability imo. Like spiders (try this out) Other than that seems like a decent survivable build.

how does experiance work in multiplayer? been running through with some friends, and when hacking monsters it seems exp goes up pretty slow. But we all get full exp from quests.

I think they still give the same xp, or it's a minor buff. However the mobs are harder. The thinking is that with more people, the faster mobs die and get more xp from more mobs dying.

Easy. Blizzard knew that people would basically go around with their high DPS skill sets, but then just switch out to MF based ones (i.e. the barb specifically). This is also to "lock you in" on a run, so when you get to some uber hard mob you can't just switch skill sets to make that mob easy. I.e. higher resists, more dps but lower health, lower dps but higher health, etc.

Basically they do it so each run you are "locked in" to something and can't change things around to make it easier mid-run.

Then they need to make it so you can lock the skill bar. My buddy lost his 5 stacks of NV because he accidentally drug one of his skills off of his bar last night.

You can easily buy lvl 59 and 60 items on the AH. I know I've been selling 700-900dps weapons for less than 10k at times 😛

Also, anyone up for taking down inferno azmo with me? Elite soul rippers? on the way are proving rather difficult for my DH =[
