I was thinking to myself. Damn! If I had been a hardcore character, I'd be permanently dead. Level 60 character gone because of a lag spike.

you would never do those kind of runs with pure MF gear in hardcore inferno I think.

I've had a flawless square ruby in my helm all the way from lvl 15 up on my monk. Started it Saturday, up to lvl 54 last night. Went way faster than my first char, but that could have been due to knowing everything and having way better items to use.

I guess it makes sense. I am just not sure because all of my Rubies go in my weapons (Wizard or Demon Hunter) or in the Templar's gear to add damage to my meat shield. I would have thought that would be of greater value?

Well yes I have lots of extra rubies from my lvl 60 wiz already so I had them in my weapons as well 🙂

But I switched those out for Emeralds around lvl 50 to go for full crit damage as the returns on rubies diminish as the weapons get better.
 
I made several million last night doing the A2 Goblin over and over. FYI to the person above, I got the flawless star amethyst and it wasn't selling for 2m+

I was doing A2 goblins last night as well, and got my first legendaries! Inna's Majesty pants. Too bad IAS on most armor is bugged

Yea I've been watching the forums to see what kind of interest there is in them. There's an auction going right now for one that's up to 1.9M at least but it's moving kind of slow, and even then that's pretty much just breaking even/taking a loss.

I think right now it's hard to justify 2M+ for what will essentially be just a few vitality, +1% life or +100 more Life on Hit when that gold could go towards likely much larger upgrades in other slots.

Na, while you are out of mana you are standing there watching everything die anyways. 😎 You could always trade out the rune on spirit walk for the one that restores 30% mana.

Confirmed though, this build sucks in act 2 inferno. As does pretty much everything. It might be viable in act 3 though.
 
If you have +XP stats stacked and you run normal or NM and just mow down mobs, do you still get the +XP per kill? Wouldn't that be a super easy way to gain XP? I would wager I could run through Normal and Nightmare without ever stopping.
 
i wanna try this tonight. i never really pay attention to single kill exp gain. my gear on my 21 monk gives me +91 exp per kill. im gonna check it out.

i do feel like levels 17-21 went by quick, which is when i started equipping gear with exp boost
 
I don't know how much of it is legit but there are some ridiculous real money offers for items on the D3 trade forum. Just in the last hour I've seen $425 looking for a DH weapon and $1000 looking for a monk weapon.
 
I'm guessing the +xp numbers are pretty weak compared to the xp you get for nm and hell kills. It's probably very helpful at lower levels but it probably wears down pretty quickly

Yes and we want to know where this treasure goblin run is in Act 2. The Act 1 run I've been doing hasn't yielded me much in terms of good items, and the resplendent chests always drop trash for me.
 
Found a legendary 60 axe today but was only worth 30k, I don't know why they bother to have crappy legendary items.

Doing inferno butcher runs with nearly 200% magic find is fun (5x Nephelem valor included), with the right party of course. Having a lame party you won't get anywhere in inferno, so kinda luck of the draw. Going to be stuck doing it for a while because Act2 is crazy tough in inferno. Not to mention really long.

Costs about 600k-700k for star
x3 for flawless star = ~2m
x3 for perfect star = ~6m
x3 for radiant star = ~10m


edit: It's great that people don't know the value of gems. I've been scouring the AH for +15% life gem socketed into worthless helms so I can buy them out at min bid. I would essentially remove the gem for 2k and npc the helm. I got a star amethyst for 200k a couple nights ago so I can put +300LoH on my weapon this way. Alternatively, I could have bought one for 600k instead in the trading forums. 😀
