How is everyone finding the single player campaign to be? I am not interested in multiplayer, PvP, or any of that crap.

There is no "single player" really so.... Theres just playing by yourself with nobody else. Its significantly easier playing solo thats for sure. Of course, you get better loot teamed up over playing solo.

I like the game, but I much preferred Blizzard's style of story telling in D2 over their approach in D3

also, if you treat Diablo 3 as a single player game and only play up through Normal, then you probably won't like the game because Diablo has always been more about loot than story

still significant server lag going on. my secondary attack is frequently doing a partial animation with no effect.

I am not getting any errors at all, but it is laggy. Its varying between about 200-500 ms most of the time. Usually I have 20 ping so...

The game gets MUCH, MUCH BETTER after lvl 10+, from Skeleton King on.

Almost an entirely different game. I am serious. Hell of fun today in 3-co-op.

This means also, as far as i understand there is a free pass which allows you to play up to lvl 10, but i have to say basically everything UP TO the Skeleton King was Kindergarten play. I think if someone plays with a free pass to form an opinion, they haven't seen anything from the game. My $0.02.

I think there is a majority of the population who are waiting for the weekend since they are busy with work etc. All HELL will literally break loose this weekend.

Uhh dota's butcher was stolen from Diablo 1.

QFT. The Butcher is the 1st boss you come to in D1...one of the scariest moments in a video game that I've played, at least the 1st time I came to him. Ah the memories...

Anywho, reached Lv31 tonight, finished Normal, and got my craftsmen maxed out for normal difficulty. I'm enjoying the game much more than I thought I would so far.

Go ahead and throw me on the players list.

Kabob#1262

I've been waiting for this game for literally 10 years (thousands of hours in D2) and while it's disappointing that they changed the Diablo formula SO much it is a fun game. I'm not sure it'll have the staying power of it's predecessors but I am enjoying it thus far.

Playing with Lotheron, Bucwylde, and PimpJuice tonight and it was much fun. I've not gotten very far yet because I keep starting new characters when one of them hops on for the first time...

My friend and I are going to do a duo campaign...he will be playing as a witch doctor; what should my complement class be: Barbarian, Demon Hunter, or Wizard.

I second this. Level 21 with my witch doctor and the story is getting better and with all my powers its much more fun.

I just played, really for the first time -got my wizard up to level 9 in a pretty short period of time - a few questions

Can I get more inventory slots?

Is there any way to auto-sell 'grey' items?

Can I only hire 1 guy to fight with me?

Does the guy I hire automatically heal me if that is the 'talent' I chose for him?

Is there a way to 'zoom out' on the map view?

I played a level or two before I realized I could hire a guy to come with me - much easier with some help!

How do I send someone a 'guest' invite?

If there is anyone with a free guess pass key that is willing to lend it, it would be most welcome 😛

Have been a loooooong time D2 fan, still trying to decide on this one.

Man, whoever said to ignore crafting and just buy off the AH wasn't kidding. I bought two unique quality weapons for 3k gold each, and rather than destroy my rares for crafting materials, I just sold them instead. It helps that they sell for so much more (10x to 20x more than the trash items), that my money just shot back up.

The best part is that unlike World of Warcraft, items don't bind. So once I replace them, I can just AH them!

Although, I like the Way of a Hundred Fists ability on my Monk, but I miss using Crippling Wave for its AoE. I find that too much use of Lashing Tail Kick just drains my Spirit too fast. I'm tempted to just drop Lashing Tail Kick for Crippling Wave. It will be less AoE damage overall, but I can use spirit for healing or disabling (Blinding Flash) instead of AoE.

EDIT:

Yeah, he heals me from time to time.

Yeah, he heals me from time to time.

I was wondering whether to sell or salvage. Now I know. Thanks lol

Ugh, since the game was all screwy yesterday, one of my achievements is messed up. I don't have credit for the quest "A Shattered Crown". I guess I'll have to complete it in Nightmare then. I know I lost quite a bit of achievement progress from yesterday as I gained a few achievements today that I originally got yesterday.
