I got a barb to 13, monk to 12, and a witch doctor to 10. The WD is by FAR my least favorite class of the three. So far.

I hear they are bit underpowered compared to the other classes, guess WD are more crowd control.

The quest direction indicator is quite shit. Many times I don't know where to go.

this is good, id rather wonder around then have the arrow tell me where to go

im still royally pissed off im out of town for work all week and wont be able to install this until friday evening

but i guess they might have fixed the bugs by then

Anyone interested in doing a 2-person complete explore play-through? I thought I would prefer playing single player first time through so explore everywhere but it is a little boring solo. If anyone is interested look me up. QuantumPion#1959

Sounds fun but not sure if we'd be able to sync up times. I'm currently sitting at level 10 just after the SK, but am not opposed to starting up a new character.

Still haven't joined a game with more than one other person in it, I think it's broke. I want to play in a full game :< - I think the only way to do that is to have 3 friends online to invite.

added myself. i am going to run throught the game single player first. then do the multiplayer.. feel free to add me. ill send out request to everyone tonight when i get home. if you dont sent first.

I played in a full game last night for a couple hours before the servers died, so it's working for sure.

i think the only thing i really miss from d2 is the skill upgrade thing.

i dont mind the vit/str/dex not being there.. But it seems you just unlock skills - then the runes and really cant make the skills more powerful..

isnt everything unlocked around lvl30? it seems there wont be much motivation to keep leveling?

I got about 11 hours of playtime in yesterday. My wizard is lvl 19. I've explored pretty much every area I've come across so far. That time includes me joining a friend who was a few levels behind me at one point. I played with a max of 4 people for about an hour, then 1-2 other people for a total of 2-3 hours. Over all, I'm kind of disappointed in the damage of the wizard. In solo play, I two shot mobs. In 1-3 people, I get my butt kicked. It's most likely my gear (all MF even if it doesn't have any stats that help me). I'm probably going to ditch all the MF gear tonight and get gear that will support my stats. I'm guessing that will make Solo work A LOT easier and I'll be tearing through stuff in MP.

I think all your primary skills are unlocked around then, but the runes for those skills aren't. They range from like 5-60.

You don't have to make a new guy, you can replay old quests (or skip ahead to new ones). It just depends on what quest the guy you join is on.

What? Skills level up with you. They get more powerful. All of them, as opposed to the D2 skill tree where only a few will get more powerful.

I don't want to miss any of the story, so I want to stay in the quest line all the way through. If you were a lower level, not sure if you are adverse to having a higher level beside you (not that Act I is hard in any manner).

Yeah I was wondering how XP scaling would work if higher levels come back to help, I wouldn't want to be under-leveled because a friend who came back to play with me was 4-5 levels higher and I ended up getting less xp because of it.

Only weapon stats modify them? Dang, I could've swore they leveled up, unless I'm thinking of other classes skills or just misremembering all together.

Your classes primary stat increases all your damage too... like for a barb 1 str increases all damage by 1%... 1 dex increases all damage by 1% for demon hunter, etc.

Well your stats go up with every level, so that would increase your skills I believe. I'm not sure if the skills themselves actually level though.

That's true. All in all, your spells level as you level and get better weapons suited for your class. If you want to min/max, then you can dig deeper, but otherwise you can just keep going about your business.

how does a wizard's weapon affect his spells? I'm still using the wand I got at level 1 because no other wands have dropped. I coulda been using a generic sword and it would somehow help my damage? I thought only the weapon's modifiers would help my damage

so it seems ever level 60 character will be the same. "per say"

just depends on gear to make yours different?
