Anyone trying out the new game and auction house? Any first impressions?

I jumped in. I just think that D3 lost me a month or 2 ago with their failure to respond in a timely manner to all the issues that were present. I just don't "feel it" anymore and to get back into it now is just me forcing myself to play. I've never felt that way with WoW for all the times I stopped playing...the magic that D3 was supposed to have is gone in my mind.

Oh well.

2H drops have increased stats to balance the fact you don't have stats from an OH, so LoH or life steal can be much higher. Not sure about primary stats.

Legendary items have new unique properties like that helm, there's boots that give you the molten ability. There's got to be an item (or maybe new ability) that slows projectiles like missile dampening because some boss projectiles can be slowed.

Just checked the auction house. None of the new andariel's visage helms has more than 169 dex and mine has 242.

Of course they all have between 9 and 13% extra fire dmg taken and I have 25. Oh well.

I agree with Hacp, insofar as Action RPG's (like Diablo 2, Titan Quest, Torchlight, etc.) are designed for you to feel incredibly powerful, more powerful (eventually) than any of the game's bosses or monsters.

Specifically relating to D3, or how it was at least prior to 1.04: I don't think a random roll of the dice, which will determine whether or not an elite pack has a beatable combo of powers or not, is anybody's idea of "fun", or even in the spirit of what a challenge is supposed to be about.

Also, it seems they've upped the limits on Life Steal. Highest I've seen on a weapon today is 5.90%

Holy shit.... That was surprising. Opened D3 to throw gold on AH again (didn't sell) and 1.04 is up. Awesome.

Yep, still finding lots of shit items. Spent most of my time farming Act 1 though.

Okay, so I can actually solo Act 3 now. It's doable, but still hard. I died a few times, but more because I was being careless and sloppy than because I was getting 1 hit killed. So, still hard, but not stupid hard... Will try Act 2 tomorrow to see how farmable it is.

Oh, and my gold is selling within a minute of being posted now. People be desperate. Sold 3 million in the past few hours.

Got the new fire walkers, leaves a trail of fire when I walk.

Check AH and found about 50 of them for sale, none exactly like mine but I just decided to hold onto them for now, they have 196 dex which is nice for my demon hunter and the trail of fire is kinda fun way to kite mobs I can't fight using conventional methods.

Check AH and found about 50 of them for sale, none exactly like mine but I just decided to hold onto them for now, they have 196 dex which is nice for my demon hunter and the trail of fire is kinda fun way to kite mobs I can't fight using conventional methods.

I want to see a YouTube video with someone killing a champ pack with just the Firewalkers at 10x speed with Yakety Sax playing.

Nice. I really want a pair of those with a high dex, all res, and of course the normal fire res.

My Andariel's helmet has 242 dex but +25% fire damage taken. When I get hit with fire I burn quick. Need to up the fire res to compensate.

over 100 lvl 60+ rares today easy, but nothing really sellable, doh! I dunno I threw some things up on the AH that could surprise me.

Inferno is definitely much funner to play. Much more balanced out, still really challenging but not stupid hard. Act 1 inferno was easy before, now it's just a joke.
