oh, thought you wouldn't someone to level with through there. don't have a 60 yet so not sure I would do any help for this then.
 
WHAT THE FUCK. I was bidding on AH for a new weapon that was significantly better than mine. I decided after placing my max bid that it might not be high enough, so I went back and bid higher. I get an error message that my bid failed. There was no buyout on the weapon, so no one could've swiped it. I tried logging in and out, found it again, same deal. Tried repeatedly, and never got it to accept a bid of mine again, auction ends, I don't get the weapon. I'm pissed as fuck right now.

Sounds like the game won't let you outbid yourself.
 
Hopped online for the first time since the update, finishing Azmodan in Hell, killed my first champion pack and BOOM 2500k increase in damage for my weapon. ilvl 61. Woot!
 
Well, the game has paid for itself now... just sold an ammy with 6.5% crit and +65% crit damage with 100+str/vit for $100 😀

Nice. That is one thing I like about D3. They made it so you can basically make your money back and a profit if youre smart..

I dont know if all my stuff is just crap or what but, everything I list up either doesnt sell or I get like $2-3 for... Some people making hundreds or thousands and I cant even get to $10.
 
What are the methods people are making tons of gold these days? I dont know if its me, but i dont find items worth 15 mil. I have like 12 mil and I grinded all of it myself. 😛

Is it people doing crafting streams and selling slots or what?

in regards to patch 1.0.3, it destroyed the play style I enjoyed playing with my WD (high attack speed Splinter/CC) and while I could reitemize to something for a crit Dire Bats build, it's a play style I don't enjoy

so I'm leveling a DH right not (at Lvl 44 atm) and will find out if I'll continue playing D3 once my DH hits 60 because I won't consider touching my WD until patch 1.1 comes along

Can't believe ppl are buying shit for this game. More pwr to y'all sellers but D3 defeats whole feedback loop that makes relatively simple minded aRPGs worth playing in the first place. E.G. feeling of accomplishment of defeating a new enemy, unlocking a new achievement/power and/or finding a new piece of gear worthy. Now it's AH or RMAH. Whatever. I can afford anything there (cap is $250 after all) but never will buy or sell.

in terms of what it did to my WD, it was just the IAS nerf. I went from 2.94 attack speed (60.8K DPS) to 2.04 attack speed (42.1K DPS). if my WD had its DPS reduced down to 42.1K DPS but kept its 2.94 attack speed, I'd probably still enjoy playing my WD. the attack speed was what made it fun, but 2.04 attack speed just isn't sufficient for what I was doing pre-1.0.3 (Whimsyshire farming) especially considering my WD's gear was glass cannon.

patch 1.0.3 also made the Zombie Bears skill buggy which affects a lot of pre-60 WDs and some Lvl 60 WDs. Blizzard says they'll fix it in patch 1.0.4 (ETA unknown).
 
I'd like to see a patch that makes WD pets not utterly useless after nightmare. Also yeah, they need to fix zombie bears :X their pathing got screwed up with the patch for some reason.

I totally agree. Pets should scale better with difficulty. They should be just as viable in Inferno as they are in normal, IMO. They're what make WD's unique, so why should the functionality of that uniqueness disappear after Nightmare?
 
Could I get some feedback from the Wizards out there farming Act 3 (without major frustration) What are your dps/defensive stats roughly? I guess my question is, how geared were you before you felt comfortable farming exclusively in Act 3 instead of Act 1.

im waiting for that too... i dont like Bears build cause its too risky. Playing with a friend i could never kill bosses spamming bears while spirit walk and spirit vessel (or whatver is that passive called) worked... i always ended up dying...

the only kinda usable build was lots of CC and dart the hell out of enemies, but its plain boring. I also tried a DOT build, which was fun, but utterly useless against bosses

i stopped playing my WD too, the summons should scale with armor, resistances, and vitality/hp or make them have 0 cooldown so the WD can recast them all the time... now its like casting doggies, see them die, run 60 seconds.... makes no sense
 
i heard the templar if you stack lots of vitality on him he is able to tank like... 3 or 4 hits

im actually using the scoundrel cause i like his CC... but he is not more than a respawning 1hit decoy, although he had saved me a couple times with his AOE blind
 
Does choice of follower matter after normal or are they all gimped enough not to matter?

I used the templar, i liked his knockback and clutch heal. The mage chick increases your Attack speed, the scoundrel gives you crit chance.

I think if you're dps is good enough the Templar has the most "save your life" moments while leveling
 
Enchantress is great for monks and barbs because of her CC and passive ASPD and armor buffs.

Played through A3 with three friends last night farming elites, it went pretty well but I don't think we found anything particularly good. What I did notice however is that it seems like enemies in multiplayer do more damage again; I definitely died more and Azmodan definitely did more damage with four players than with one. Perhaps the damage reduction isn't working in parties or has a dampened effect in multiplayer; I think it would kind of make sense given how easy multiplayer farming would be now.
