So they're officially using Havok and DX10.1? ATI just came...
By the time this game is released DX 11 will be out...
Also I see no mention of DX10.1 or Havok on their website. Their FAQ plainly states, they are using a custom physics engine, so either they modified Havock a great deal, or they are using their own.

Directly quoting from the game features:
"Rain Hell on your enemies wielding the interactive environment as a weapon: lay cunning traps, turn destructible objects against your foes, and use environmental obstacles to your advantage - all powered by the Havoc physics system."

Finally found videos that weren't horribly bogged down. Gameplay looks awesome. Can't wait. 😀
Awesome? That's a bit of a stretch.

While not too important anymore, some more clues about what the splash page meant.
Go to Cain's Journal: http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/world/lore/journal.xml
Flip to the 12th page. You'll see the "solar system" and "snowflake" runes stamped on the page.

The other two candidates would be Akara or Anya (or it could be an unknown character). Going by the age and voice Akara is probably too old.

Cain is the last of the Horadrim. How could he have a child?

Tyreal is a wimp? You've got to be kidding.
You have to understand (and you probably don't) that Tyreal is (or was, by now) an Archangel, that means that he has absolutely no rights to interfere with the affairs of Sanctuary and the mortals, he's not even supposed to make himself known to the heroes or mortals at all. His intervention wasn't meant to actually fight the Prime Evils themselves, but to help save time for mortals to prepare for a better defense against their upcoming hellish forces, not to mention to help Marius get away from the Tomb of Tal-Rasha alive.
And Tyreal is not a "God", he's just an Archangel, he's not meant nor supposed to have the actual power to face against any of the Prime Evils, for they themselves aren't just some random creature from Hell but actual Prime Evils, what do you expect Tyreal to do alone against Baal, Diablo or Mephisto? He might have been able to take on Lesser Evils such as Andariel, Duriel or Lilith (Andariel's Mother), but that would highly surprise me. Also note that from what I read of the Diablo cannon, any Archangel "entering" the mortal realm will see his powers greatly reduced, in the same manner that the Prime Evils' powers are reduced also on the mortal realm, which in turn is the exact reason why Baal managed to AVOID a direct fight against the three Guardians of Mount Arreat before entering the Worldstone Keep. You should remember that Nilhatak, the "mage" (can't remember his exact title) of the Barbarians of Arreat formed a "pact" with Baal so that he could allow him (Baal) to get passed the Guardians without fighting them or else he might have died in his mortal form.
Tyreal just like Izual were (or still are, although Izual's case is done since Diablo II's Act IV) generals at the command of grand armies of Heaven during the great war against them and Hell. Izual got captured and his army destroyed, and Mephisto corrupted him so him and his two brothers would force Izual to co-operate with them and give them information and secrets of Heaven for a later invasion. Tyreal never succeeded to rescue Izual, nor succeeded attacking any of the Three Prime Evils during that war, so if Tyreal couldn't manage anything under his best form (out of the mortal realm) with an army with him I don't see what he can do alone in the mortal realm.
Some people here need to play Diablo II again and actually read the manual that came with the original (not the expansion). Just read every page, and then read and listen to what Tyreal says, what Izual says and what Dekard Cain says, and you'll better understand what is at stake in Diablo III.

I don't understand. You say I'm wrong, then you proceed to explain how Tyrael can't beat the Prime Evils, which is exactly what I said 😵Originally posted by: Zenoth
