Thats what I fear, the thing I loved (and still love) about diablo 1 was the fact it generated random dungeons to play in. Dungeon Siege was fun the first time, but now I can't really play it again because its exactly the same.. 🙁
 
Just watched the trailer... man I can't wait. One of the coolest things with D2 was the story and the cut scenes, looks like they wont dissapoint with D3. Trying to get the gameplay vid now.
 
Looks amazing. This will be the first PC game I'll buy in a few years, even if it is another 2 years before it hits. It'll also make me upgrade my video card for it, too. Looks gorgeous, sounds gorgeous, and the interactive environments look fantastic.

Hey, it's Blizzard we are talking about, they may have ridiculously long development cycles but they have ever never released a mediocre game or a so-so sequel. I actually agree with you on Starcraft II looking like a 3D Starcraft expansion but I have a lot of faith in Blizzard 🙂

Hm.. I have mixed feelings about the looks... Its good, the effects are awesome and it has a very epic feel, BUT, it goes more and more into the cartoony WC territory, which doesnt suit Diablo at all... One of the things I loved about Diablo 1 was it being really dark, very heavy ambiance and all, then D2 came out with the outdoors environments and was already much lighter, but still kept a bit of the spirit, now this is kinda.. Ehhh, doesnt look like diablo at all anymore
 
FileFront and FileShack have all of the videos.

Graphics and skillsets are impressive. El oh el at adding Shaman to the Diablo world, though - that should be interesting. Saying it can be played with only a mouse slightly surprised me simply because I can still remember the hand cramps from playing D1, but I suppose simplicity opens it up to a wider audience. ($$$)

I'm always amazed at how game companies can keep secrets for so long. So many people are involved, and for all of them to keep quiet is a feat in itself.
 
Health orbs? weak.
Witch Doctor? Necromancer with a new outfit.
Why does the barbarian look 90 years old?
why waste time making male/female versions for each class?
 
OMFG, SCII and now Diablo3? Goodbye life, what a much better alternative!

Glad to see they're more sticking to the roots, that core fast gameplay hack and slash, rather than making it into a dumb MMO.

yeah, i'm not so sure about the health orbs. what do you do for boss fights?

i think the witch doctor is a bit more interesting than the necro

male/female versions for each class for the same reason that many other games do it - better representation for the player.

Was going to upgrade my system... but now I need to wait and make sure I'm spec'd to play this on highest quality settings. 😀

Monthly fees to play the game. I wouldn't expect a greedy company like blizzard to allow people to play online for free anymore.
