speaking of we bounties, I need to do the last part for thorn
and I got another one (same 3 choices) figure Ill get another Bad JuJu and shard it, it takes the least effort, just time doing those strikes


the 500 void damage kills bit for thorn was annoying, very very annoying

Didn't know about that. When I did it with another friend we just waited at the entrance and spawned the shrieker and then backed up just enough to see the door and wait for enemies to come in. It took a while this way. We only had two people though.

I don't remember dying as many times as then on a single strike, ever haha Good thing you could self-res after 30s, else it wouldn't really work. I'm sure they'll make it like heroics soon and not allow it (only res by others). "We intended people to die horribly over and over again and wipe as much as possible to get a single, shitty handgun." It's Bungie after all... 😉

I tried that way at first with 2 randoms via destinylfg.net, but after about 2 hours, we couldn't really kill the mobs. We actually got really close our last attempt. We cleared all the waves and had the last one come out w/ Xyor. We all tried to go to that hidden place but stupidly we all fell off and wiped LOL.

Oh well, the next day I ran it with my brother who was Level 28 and had some good gear so it only took like 2 attempts.

Got my Thorn woot!

only one person needs to go down near the beginning, so the whole party can't wipe 🙂

I'd like to try this theory, but I have one gold bounty for the pulse rifle sitting in my list b/c I can't find a single blue pulse rifle salvage to save my life. Also, damn gunsmith never sells them either. Starting to get really annoyed by this. I get it, RNG, but it seems like blue pulse rifles just became extra rare b/c i have this bounty in my list.
 
and once you finish the quest, 75% of the blue special weapons I decrypt are fusion rifles. It took me a week to find 3 while I had the quest.

You have to just keep checking when his stock refreshes. I had scrapped 3 rare fusion rifles before I got the pocket infinity bounty and realized it would take forever to find 10 in the wild.

I ended up buying 8 from the vendor the next day by keeping an eye out and making sure I had enough glimmer.

He sells them every 3 days. Just gotta check what the vender is selling. Use the mobile app and it will tell you.

I did try this theory and it didn't work, twice.

I've given up trying to get bounties at this point. I ended up finally hitting VG rank 3 and of course as a reward, I finally got the legendary pulse rifle I was after so I didnt even have to buy it. I ended up buying the other one (which I like more anyway despite less impact which I feel is totally arbitrary anyway) because I maxed up my VG marks and needed to burn some.

At this point the lynchpin to everything is shards and it seems the only way to get them reliably is to do the raid, which requires 5 other people who arent retarded and I honestly don't have the free time to coordinate that kind of shit with what little time I have to play at night. You can get lucky with your first daily event, or do the daily mission on level 28 for the chance of shards, otherwise I don't know what else to do in the game now. I am almost level 29 but I need raid chest/helmet to get to 30 and of course 10000 shards or whatever nonsense needed to upgrade them.

Probably going to pick up shadows of mordor and switch over until there's more content for Destiny, I'm fine with aimless grinding but you cant even do that to get what you need so it seems like there's not much else to do now but wait.

Yeah, we thought that, but I guess we couldn't get the next wave of adds to spawn unless we killed the previous waves so we were all just trying to kill things slowly but surely. Oh well, got my Thorn anyway so happy w/ that.

I'm going to start saving my blue guns to breakdown for future exotic quests.
 
Anyone want to do VOG tonight? I am a level 27 titan right on the edge of 28. Just need the upgrade shards or energy to get the next level.

Heh...lightswitch with thralls is not fun.I didn't know thralls did arc damage either. I never tried the strategy for the waves at the door. Would probably work well for xyor too I imagine.

yea angry and lightswitch is annoying as everything just keeps running right at you

the wizards and knights do arc damage,

im down to 2 man it this evening
 
Sure...sounds like there are a few spots to sit at. I have an arc sniper that will be getting a workout. It isn't patience and time, but it holds 6 rounds so that's something. Really wish I had an arc heavy.

Is arc the most rare element to have on a weapon? Seems like most of the exotics are solar and I have found void to be very common as well.

Gunsmith must have read my post. Got home last night, and BLUE FUSION rifle for sale!! Now I have to go through a weekly nightfall and get 200 kills with it. I swear, I feel like those kids in making the band with P Diddy (Chapelle version).. lol
