I hope they are PvE factions. Everything else so far is PvP based. We need more than just vanguard for PvE.So any speculation on the "secret" factions. Osiris and seven seraphs. From what I've read seven seraphs might mean the seven warminds. No idea what Osiris is though. Oh well, we will probably learn more in the expansions.
Anyway, maybe the game will open up after level 20 and there will be fun things to do. New places to visit? More varied missions? More unique gear that does cool stuff? Here's hoping...
I'll keep playing for now... after all, I spent $130 on it (PSN Digital Guardian).
I played WoW from beta to Wrath of the LK 🙂 Was in the biggest guilds doing the most challenging raids (PvE RP servers). Destiny is not an MMO game and thank god that's the case - MMOs destroy lives. WoW has so many different skills you can use, very distinct classes too. Support, heal, dps - Destiny is NOTHING like an MMO. It's a simple shooter that has coop.
I'm level 19, I've unlocked the other subclass and got some of the skills up (the Arc Blade on the Hunter is quite fun, to be honest). I did everything on Earth, Moon and Venus (including the strikes). And did the first mission on Mars.
The material gathering is there, sure...
Tell me about the tactics or different ways to kill enemies? You cover, you peek out, and you shoot. You throw grenades when they're off cooldown. When your super is ready, you use it. When playing with others, some can pull attention and you can try to flank the mobs - but you might as well just shoot them in the face. That's it. What other tactics do you mean?
I was hoping for some vehicles (turrets, tanks, etc), maybe space combat, boss tactics, smart enemies (not resetting after you run past a certain line!). In the beta it was "it is just a beta, things get better in the full game." So I'm asking, where are the nice things?

Its not half as bad as you make it seem. The voice acting is very solid, I have no issue. And if you didn't pay attention...no they don't have a network. It was all lost during the war. That's why you found out about the other planets when you started up the array station. All the warminds were destroyed(or so we thought). The ghost knows nothing because he knows truly nothing. He can do a lot but he isn't all knowing and isn't supposed to be. This is explained in some of the lore of the game. The ghosts were created to seek out and awaken guardians. That is their purpose and once they find a guardian, they are tied to them. They don't know everything about everything.
I have no clue what you mean by weapon trees. The beta was exactly the same as we have here as far as weapon customization and upgrading is concerned. There are different sights for some weapons you can unlock, you can upgrade the attack, and some of them have bonuses you unlock.
As for how the game plays, moving from spot to spot and killing stuff. Have you never played any shooter ever? That's how shooters are. You go to a trigger point and kill what is in your way.
Have you gotten to level 20 yet and have you done all the higher level missions? Nobody has seen the raid yet either. From what it seems to me, you set yourself up for something this game was never supposed to be.
The game is fun and the story is good. Have you checked the grimoir cards on bungie's website? There is more there to discover about the game's back story. Also remember than this is game 1. We are supposed to see 3 games with expansions between. This isn't any other single game where what you get on day 1 is what you have. Maybe its not for you or maybe you need a break from it for a few days I dunno. I do know that the drive for level 20 and the better gear keeps me going and I am not bored. Not even bored of old Russia yet.
MMO means massive 🙂 3 usual, 6 tops is just coop. There are at most 16 people in the Tower (you can't talk to them, just wave/dance). And I guess a similar amount in the zones. MMOs have lots of grinding and building your character (items), but at least your gameplay is more varied - you have crowd control for example...
And if the game is FPS, it's a really weak one - FPS games try to diversify gameplay, Destiny doesn't.
I did all strikes on Earth, Moon and Venus, 4 in total - that Servitor boss on Earth, the big chained dude on the Moon, that Archon dude that is just a "captain" with lots of HP and that shielded thing that's in the middle of a round room. And each boss fight is the same! Really... shoot the boss, boss calls adds, kill adds, focus on boss, boss calls adds, kill adds, focus on boss... 3 from the 4 bosses I killed even used the same (enlarged) models as regular mobs >_> Captain (Archon), Hydra (shielded one), Servitor (ball thing).
You need to cooperate with your team to kill them, sure - because you can't solo them (mostly due to the number of adds and limited ammo). The bosses themselves aren't anything special. They don't have any special skills that require coop, they just aim and shoot at you. And summon adds.
You say you don't play the game like me - so how do you play it? I'd really like to know. Maybe I'm missing something? I have told you guys what I think is crap right now. All you do is tell me I'm wrong, but not telling me what the fun stuff is. So what is it?
Also, game having dumb mobs and lame exploits is bad game design. They should have for example not allowed you to run away from an encounter...
I love RPG games, I love FPS shooter games, I love TPS games, I was really into MMO games a while ago. This game is not good at any of them and has nothing unique so far that screams "Destiny".
EDIT: To name a fun game that took MMO concepts and made a single player, FUN game from them? Kingdoms of Amalur : Reckoning. That game was a lot of fun! And it had grind mechanics and not that many attacks, but you could chain them, so it had a nice attack mechanism. But it was fun - there were many items, lots of things to do, lots of quests, places to visit too. Or Darksiders 2 - similar idea. You level up, you grind a bit, you find loot, bosses required tactics. Others can do it, why can't Destiny?
Damn you guys play a lot, I got it on Tuesday and I'm only level 4. I really wish I had more time to play.

I have not seen any gameplay besides co-cop and I was wondering what is Multiplayer for this game? Please don't tell me it's all coops missions? Can you play deathmatch pvp or pve? Why all the hype this game looks shit imo.

I'm hoping I have a few people to play with still by the time I will reach level 20. Everyone played so much already. I can't get far playing 1-2 hrs a couple days a week.
