Well, I was expecting the games to be a lot more one-sided. I gotta give props to phoenix for playing well. Dallas only looks a little better each game. They seem to be missing a lot of shots they hit against SA. If they missed as many shots in that series as they are in this one, phoenix would be playing SA now.

Big game tonight for the Suns. This is basically their season because they need to win one at home to have a chance. I expect them to fire all their shots and it may be the most entertaining matchup of the series. Woot!

IE, you expect them to be desperate. The DMN had an interesting breakdown of the points scored, fast break points, etc from Games 1, 2, and 3. Game 1 was obviously stacked largely in Phoenix's favor. Dallas figured them out in Game 2, with lower numbers. Dallas figured them out even further in Game 3, with even lower numbers.

When are people going to learn - run and gun does not a championship team make. Watching the Suns reminds me soooooooo much of the Mavs 2-3 years ago. Maybe it was b/c Nash controlled the floor and dictated that pace, but the Suns now are what the Mavs were 2-3 years ago. Hope to win a championship? Not with the way you guys are playing now, Amare or no Amare.

heh, we're playing you this close with one of our playoff starters out of the lineup and a 26ppg allstar injured...is Dallas supposed to be impressive or something?

You know, you talk a lot of sh!t in favor of the Mavericks like they've actually done something like win a championship and have a rich history in basketball prior to this year.

Wow, you don't have anything positive to contribute because your team lost. Can't refute the numbers?

And this game sucks ass. We're not executing on anything. We haven't scored since what, 3 minutes left to go in the 3rd? Terrible.

Dirk is the most ungraceful/boring player I have seen in a long time, no style at all in the way he plays, gets the job done I know but not fun to watch at all

Wow, Dirk really had a bad night...he hasn't had one this bad all playoffs. Hopefully Howard didn't get hurt bad.

The run by the Suns at the end of the 3rd and into the 4th quarter was nice and lots of fun to watch 😀 Game 5 is going to be tough to win for the Suns because the Dallas crowd will be pumped up...it will take a performance on par with tonight's, maybe even better.

Awesome, Bell comes back and Howard goes down again.. this Suns team has some magic in them, if they win ANOTHER 7 game series then watch out Heat!

Wow the Mavs got completely bitchslapped into the next century last night. That could be the biggest assbeating they got all season let alone the playoffs... If the Suns continue to body Dirk like that (read: SUNS DEFENSE, I know it's a shock to me too!) and no other Mavs step up, this series is done in 6. Like D'Antoni said, no way in hell Dallas can beat PHO shooting 42%, even though they have a rebounding edge they get smeared in fast break points. Look up resiliency and you'll see Raja Bell and the Suns in the dictionary.

any word on Josh Howard's 2nd injury of the playoffs? hopefully, there isn't serious damage. i've resprained an ankle within months of injuring it and it hurt like HELL.

could be a big blow to the Mavs.

Dallas finally laid an egg in the playoffs. You have to expect it after dominating the Grizz and playing an exhausting series against San Antonio. After 14 games of dominating their opponent on the boards, a playoff record. The key is to see if they can rebound in game 5. I expect Dirk and Terry to be back at their former levels.

Definitely a bad game for Mavs. Seems like someone turned off the juice middle of 3rd qtr and wow, they were cold.

But as much as I hate a loss for the Mavs, I'm not totally shocked to seem them lose badly at least once. I mean they did play like crazy the past few games and every team has a bad game once in a while.

I know game 5 will be different.

lets see how this series goes now that the suns have bell back. Wasnt looking too good for the mavs last night. I predict tomorrow will be a toss up, the suns will win game 6 for sure though.

I'm not sure how you can say that. The Mavs have already beaten PHO at home. Where they play seems to make no difference in this series. If Dallas plays well offensively and defensively, PHO cannot beat them. PHO has to shoot lights out to have a shot at winning, and hope that Dallas has a bad game offensively.

Did the Mavs beat the Suns at home with Raja Bell in the lineup? Did the Suns beat the Mavs at home when the Mavs had their playoff starting lineup?

Only a fool would count the Suns out, they can hang with the best of them when they are on their game. The only team I see that can beat them right now is Detroit because they can lock shooters down and can defend the run and gun. Dallas and Miami, nope.

The Mavs control their own destiny. They are clearly the better team. Go look at the poll on espn frontpage where dallas is picked in 2/3 of the vote to make the finals. As long as Dallas doesn't lay another egg like they did last time (and barring an injury to Dirk), they will make the finals.

i severely underrated the Suns this entire year and through the playoffs. i thought the Mavs would pound them. it's just 2-2 right now w/ an important game 5 tonight.

i can only imagine they're going to be even better w/ Amare back next season :Q hate to say it, but Nash really is pretty damn good to bring the Suns this far.

Boy, you just can't give the Suns any credit can you?

one more thing...if Dallas loses it's because they laid an egg, and if Phoenix loses it's because Dallas is the best team evar?!?

Yep, it will be interesting to see how Amare fits in next year. One of my friends (who's also a huge Dallas fan) thinks that Amare will actually hurt the Suns...he blabbers stuff about Amare's lack of defense. Heh, Amare's size alone in the post will help on defense and rebounding, but it could take a while for the team to adjust. However, with Nash at the point I don't think that will be a problem 😉
