Mavs win tonight by 5.

So why exactly would you go for his balls? Fetish?

Finley has been really aggressive in this series, it's like he had his young legs back. He's taking it to the basket instead of pulling up for 20 ft jumpers like he did his last few years in Dallas. If he had played like this before, the Mavs might have won a championship when he was one of the big 3. The thing that pisses me off most about Finley is that he got paid all that money and got a free ride from the Dallas fans, and now we see how good he can be when he is motivated. Punk! 😀

I'm curious as to why there's so much hate for Mark Cuban. As a Mavs fan, I love him as an owner. I distinctly remember sloshing through another crappy Mavs season before Cuban bought it about 3/4 through the season and all of a sudden we started winning. I never thought changing owners could actually change the personality of a team but Cuban really did. Sure he does and says some goofy things, but you can't argue the results. I liken him to one of us regular Joe Shmoe fans who buys a NBA team and gets to run it as we think it should be run.

Damnit I slept right through it. :|

YEAH 4 DALLAS!!

Wow...what an exciting game! The officiating was horrendous, but the Mavs were still able to pull away with it. What a collapse by the Mavs by giving up a 20 point lead, but what an even bigger collapse by the Spurs by giving up a 3 point play at the end of regulation. Man I'm glad that the Spurs lost.

What a fantastic series!!!! Hats off to the spurs, I don't think I've ever seen a gutsier effort from a team that was clearly outgunned. Their will to win is amazing.

The Mavs will dominate the Suns

Great series and great game. The spurs had a victory in hand and then stupidly fould nowitzki when they could have just let him score in the 4th. That cost them the series, that stupid play there.

It's looking like the mavs are the champions, but it will be an exciting series if they play detroit, who I think matches up better against them than any other remaining team. Though shaq is always the X-factor.

Mavs will not dominate the Suns as easily as people think, and will have their hands full with whatever team comes out of the East. I wouldn't be so sure yet.

I generally like Cuban, but I don't appreciate it when he insults other cities and players for no reason. He's a great owner and has done a lot for the mavericks, and I like that referee spreadsheet and all. I just wish he were a little more respectful of other players and teams.

Because he unnecessarily cuts down the Spurs like they are an inferior team, yet he aspires to what they have. Peter Holt and the Spurs have 3 rings. How many does he have? 0.

If he would just stop fvcking whining, stop making himself look like an ass, and keep his mouth shut, maybe more people would like him and seeing him for what he is, a great owner rather than a total douchebag.

btw, despite the Mavs being up 3-1, i have this suspicion that the series will go 7....

Kudo's for calling a 7 game series when Dallas was up 3 to 1!

Great NBA radar . . .

Agreed, you cant deny that Cuban is passionate about his team, and their winning reflects the dedication (money, time, etc) that he puts into it. The problem is that he cannot control the little "inside voice" that isn't for the public. He gets excited and says stuff that reflects his lack of composure. If you or I said stuff like he does, no problem. He just has to realize he is on a big stage where his comments can be detrimental to the team that he loves by infuriating <referees, other teams, other teams fans>.

awesome. at least now we know we won't have the yawner from last year of SA v DET
now its on! Suns in 7 games! and Suns for the championship! 😀 (it would suck if they can do it without amare stoudamire... they'd probably think all they need is Steve Nash with Marion and any random combinations of 3 unknown players)

go me!!! 😀

anyways, i really can't imagine the Mavs being stifled by the Suns. the Mavs can score with the best of them. should be fun to watch, scores routinely breaking 105-110 points.

i say Mavs in 6. Nowitski is going to go off and the Mavs just have that "it" factor to make it to the Finals this season.

Man, I am depressed. After their opening debacle in the first half, the Spurs finally play some inpired ball and come back to take a 3 point lead with 40 seconds left. Then they cough it up and played awful in OT. 🙁

Congrats to the Mavs.

Yeah I think the Mavs will win it in 6 or 7 but I said the same thing vs the Clips. The Suns motto from last night's locker room: "Speed, they have no answer." is so dam true. Any team that tries to run and gun with them will lose, period. Hopefully the Mavs can slow the tempo down more than the Clips did.

Also don't forget that Steve Nash loves to play against his old team, he went off last year when they beat em:
Game 2: 23 and 13
Game 3: 27 and 17
Game 4: 48, 5, and 5
Game 5: 34, 12, and 13
Game 6: 39, 12, and 9

Both teams split this year, but Nash went off a couple games too:
30, 9, and 8
25 and 11 assists

For some reason, Nash seems to have breakout games vs Dallas (not always but arguably more than any other team), he seems to get up more for these games. 😉

The mavs can run with the suns and win, IMO. They are superior in every position except PG, even at PG in later games if the suns don't get enough rest. Their bench is also better. I don't see how the suns can win this series. They are out matched in every category. The mavs are better rebounders, better shooters, better defenders, better bench, better coaching... I hope I'm proved wrong and it is an exciting series, but I'm expecting the mavs to dominate.

The Mavs have more depth, and I think that is the main reason why they beat SA. The SA starters logged so many minutes, and you know in OT periods they had to be worn out.

The Suns have a nice starting 5 but really Dallas has better overall talent and is much better defensive team this year. They can play the half-court game and slow Phoenix down considerably. Nash is a defensive sieve and I expect Harris and Terry to go off on him also. Nash will have big numbers but it won't matter, and if he has an off-shooting night, the Mavs will blow the Suns out of the building.

Mavs beat Phoenix in 6.

So would you say that the Clips are better defensively than the Mavs? Because for all the talk about how the Clips' size and defense would slow down PHO, they just gave up the 2nd largest amount of points in a game 7 ever. And PHO is the first team to win by 15 or more points in 2 or more Game 7's. 😉

Also remember that last year's Mavs won 2 less games than this year's Mavs and they lost in 6 to PHO (although they had Amare).
