Looks like the pitching matchups for the first four games shape up as follows:

Game 1
Beckett (9-8, 3.04 ERA) vs. Zambrano (13-11, 3.11 ERA)

Game 2
Penny (14-10, 4.13 ERA) vs. Prior (18-6, 2.43 ERA)

Game 3
Redman (14-9, 3.59 ERA) vs. Wood (14-11, 3.20 ERA)

Game 4
Willis (14.6, 3.30 ERA) vs. Clement (14-12, 4.11 ERA)

Interesting that the two best starters from each team will not hook up. That certainly makes a 2-2 split far more likely.

As for the pitching, I think that Prior and Spazz...er...Zambrano need to swap spots in this series.

I know Cubs fans will probably go into hysterics if they drop the opening game, but the Marlins actually need this first game more than the Cubs do. Beckett has been awesome lately so you have to like his chances to get the W (esp. against SpazZambrano...lol).

Prior needs as much rest as he can get. Averaging 130+ pitches a game is tough on the arm. After that 2 hit gem he threw he needs to rest. Zambrano will do well enough tonight.

Actually I think that the winner of the Sox Stankees Series will be the Favorites. If the Sox played like they did during the last 3 games against the A's they will go all the way!
