I don't have much confidence in Zambo's ability to handle the game 1 pressure (he's hyper enough in regular season games), but with Prior ready to even things up at 1-1 and Wood set to start the first game in Florida the Cubs can rebound quickly. Plus, if it ever goes back to Chicago those last two games will also feature the Prior/Wood tandem.

The Marlins have been awesome for most of the season. They have good young starters, solid hitting (not Braves-caliber, though), and awesome base-stealers so this should be a fun, hard-fought series between two scrappy teams.

I would have Prior go game seven instead of Wood. I like Prior much better in pressure situations. Marlins are the best team right now in the postseason.

I have a feeling if Red Sox don't advance to the World Series, Marlins will win it all.

I'm in Atlanta for the weekend (to see Radiohead), but I got to go to the Braves/Cubs game tonight. There were a lot of Cubs fans tonight, and a lot of heckling going on. I'm just glad to have made it out intact :)

What a lack of disrespect. More Cubs fan in your home stadium then Braves fans. That is a shame.

So do I but that would mean starting Wood on 3 days rest. With the number of pitches he usually throws it's not worth it IMO...he'd probably have to leave after 5 innings, and the Cubs bullpen is questionable.

i think its awesome that there were more cubs fans in atlanta than braves fans. the cubs have sucked forever, yet still manage to have one of the biggest fan bases in the world. They sell out wrigley almost every game of every year, even when they are in last place. I grew up in chicago, and love the cubs. i welcome anyone to the band wagon, cause its gonna be a fun ride. Its time to hop on folks. Theres lots of room on the wagon. ill even move over a little bit.

I'm torn. I like Florida, live in florida, etc. But, I'd be more interested in seeing a Cubs RedSox world Series.

Anyway, I think Florida has done well against the Cubs this year... so... I'm thinking Florida will take it. But, I think it'll be a good series.

Cubs won 4 out of 6 games regular season vs the Marlins. Go CUBS!!! :D:beer:
