Anyone think that the G3 is incredibly powerful? Also, didn't realize how much I missed having the bandolier perk.

They really need to fix the ACOG, and give us dual attachments ... would kill for RDS + Silencer on an MP5 ... unF!

While I'd like to have dual attachments, you do realize that most people would end up using Red Dot scope/grenade launchers with their assault rifles.. As it is there is a trade-off for using the grenade launcher.

also, RPD with grip and bandolier would be really great..

Anyone notice the huge difference in player skill depending on what time you play? I usually play around 9:00-10:00 PM CST and about half the time I play decent (1:1 kill ratio) while the other half I get destroyed.

I got off work early today, and played about 6 games around 4:00 PM CST. In all of those games I finished in the top 3. That must be the time all the kids are on.

yep the skill level increases dramatically later in the evenings and on weekends... the difference is like night and day.

I've noticed that the game takes longer to load nowadays, and I'm starting to get random disc read errors. I checked the disc and looks like my 360 has scratched the living fuck out of it. I am so sick of this piece of shit machine...

I have COD4 on my pc and enjoy playing it. Curious as to if it worthwhile to get it for the 360. Seems to be the number one online game on xbox live, but im wondering if the multiplayer if more fun on the 360 than over the pc.

I doubt it's worthwhile to buy both.

This is true. I rented the PS3 version to play with some friends, and its almost like a different game. The number of players per game can be in the 50's on the PC, and when I played on the PS3, I didnt notice any air strikes and helicopters.

Then you didn't play long enough.... you know, like through one full game. Basically every game I'm in, SOMEONE calls in both an airstrike and helicopter.

ha if you were playing it on the PS3 and didn't see any heli's or air strikes called in then you were playing with a lot of shitty players.

Personally, I dislike SMGs... they seem inaccurate and less powerful than ARs without providing much benefit. I'll take an M4 or a G36c over an MP5 or P90 in any situation.

I do shuffle my classes around quite a bit, but the ones I have now are as such:

Stealth - M16, silencer, UAV jammer, dead silence, bandolier
Assault - M4, red dot, stopping power, dead silence, 3x frag
Machine Gun - M249, red dot, stopping power, deep impact, bandolier
G3 - G3, red dot, stopping power, dead silence, 3x frag
Sniper - M40A1, stopping power, dead silence, claymores

I usually wear headphones so I can hear people's footsteps very clearly when I have dead silence on. There aren't a whole lot of worthwhile perks for the third slot, so that's my go-to choice. And while I normally play on HC servers (I'm on PC), stopping power is there to ensure one hit kills with the sniper rifle and G3, and in case I decide to go to a SC server.

The M16 is probably my favorite weapon though... it's powerful, accurate, has virtually no recoil, and the three round burst is forgiving if your aim is off. You can sweep it across your targets to ensure that at least one of the bullets hits. In HC, that's really all you need.

assault - m16 + red dot + bandolier + uav jammer + dead silence
cqc - skorpion + red dot + bandolier + stopping power + martyrdom
juggernaut - rpd + red dot + bandolier + juggernaut + martyrdom
long range - m16 + red dot + barrett .50 cal + bandolier + overkill + dead silence
ghost - m16 + silencer + bandolier + uav jammer + dead silence

i should re-equip my juggernaut slot since i never use that profile. i use cqc exclusively on shipment. i use ghost on showdown and vacant and sometimes wetwork. i use long range on countdown, ambush, strike, overgrown, backlot, bloc, bog, crash, crossfire, pipeline. i use assault everywhere else.

Wow so far no one uses the AK-47. One of THE best guns. After trying out the AK after being a huge M-16 fan, I'd definitely say the AK is overall a better weapon.
The range isn't quite as good as the M-16, but with practice it is very close. It's also much more valuable in close encounters since it is fully auto.

For a while I was rocking the RPD with grip. I loved that shit. The last time I played I was all over the place. Tried things like AK74u with ACOG scope. :Q

I've also noticed the LMG's seem to be a lot less accurate at long range than they used to be, I wonder if this was part of the patch. I really have been liking the G3 lately, I couple it with 3X frag, stopping power and deep impact, very accurate. Otherwise I use the M16 or P90. I have two P90 loadouts one for stealth, UAV jammer, and one standard.
