Question: If you take down somebody that has the last stand perk active, and one of your teammates finishes him off while he's on the ground with his pistol, who gets the kill for it? I had taken a guy down earlier tonight, and when he fell to the ground and had his pistol out, I just went on around the building and left him there to die. But I don't think I ever saw my kill come up for it, although I could be wrong.

Thanks!

If your teammate kills the guy in last stand, THEY get the kill, you get an assist. You have to follow through or else the kill stealers will definitely be there!

I don't mean I truly get kicked, since I don't think anyone really hosts games (they just pair you up). But why is this happening? This is for Team Deathmatch.

Basically just means that the person who was hosting left. The game automatically selects the person with the best connection to host. If they leave, then it closes the lobby. I believe the patch due out anytime now is supposed to fix that and keep everyone in game while it selects a new host.

Uh, they don't have the auto-switch up yet ... and sometimes the host isn't quitting, but your profile is corrupt. This is all serverside though, so nothing we can do about it ... they're supposed to be fixing it though.

Yah I know it's not there yet, that's why i said there will be a patch due out soon ;)

Where did you read about it being a corrupt profile? I read a post on xbox.com where fourzerotwo said that it was because someone left, he didn't mention anything about a corrupt profile. but then again I don't read those forums a whole lot

Which is really stupid. I hate "killing" a guy from a distance and then seeing he was in last stand. If he fell behind a hill or something I'm not going to run across the map to finish him off.

If I did the hard part, I should get the 10 points and he should get the 2.

Yeah it's definitely one of the more frustrating perks for that reason. I don't care about last stand other than that. Usually when they fall to the ground they are just an easy kill, but that's hard to do when you are picking them off across the map with the M16.

But once they lay there long enough, if none of your teammates kill them, you do get credit for the kill.. so sometimes it's not all that bad.

Man, the more I play this multiplayer, the more I like it. The implementation of getting extra goodies for kill streaks is pure genius. There's nothing like getting a nice kill streak, calling in the radar scan, then calling in an air strike, then calling in the heli to help out the team. I don't get it too often, so I feel like a complete badass when I'm on a roll :).

Have you completely wiped out the other team with an airstrike yet? If not, once you do that you'll really enjoy this game :p You'll get it more often as you play more. It took me a couple weeks to really get the feel of the game before I started getting regular air strikes.

You know what's frustrating? Having an air strike when there is no UAV up so you're not sure where to use it. Then you get a sixth kill and you're still not sure where to use the airstrike. Then you see your seventh kill but he kills you first. :(

Yeah, that sucks. I just hide and wait for a UAV to come up or when push comes to shove, just launch it somewhere and pray for that seventh kill!

You guys know that even if you die, that air strike is still available when you respawn, right? I know it sucks missing the helicopter, but at least you get the extra 10pts and the satisfaction of death from above :p

Yes, we do. However, we're trying to get kills from the air strike to help us get to 7 consecutive kills for that helicopter.

That's right, it's all about the choppa! I just hate it when I have a helicopter and I'm sitting there waiting for my teammates helicopter to get shot down/fly away so I can use mine.

I really love airstrikes though, probably more than the helicopter. There's just something about the chance of a well-placed airstirke killing a majority if not all of the other team at ONCE that makes me smile :)

I did that on bog last night... it was the HQ at the end of the map behind the wall, called in an airstrike and killed everyone, nearly creaming myself.

Alright, I just had two awesome games... one of which I placed first with almost 300 points. For some reason, I just kept getting the drop on guys who didnt see me coming, got a helicopter out, called in an airstrike... it was awesome. I think that's the key to high score, dont die and get a killer streak going. :)

Anywho, I'm rank 8 now, threw the red dot on my M16 which seem to be a rather slick weapon. Ok, I'm starting to dig this MP game more now that I get whats happening. I've gotta get into some objective based games though, right now it seems not a big deal to be a lone wolf.

Finally finished the single player on regular difficulty. Pretty awesome SP game, but I doubt I'll go back and play through harder anytime soon with the MP and bioshock to keep me company.

I think at 12 you unlock the majority of the game types. Try out Domination and Headquarters for objective-based gameplay and some serious leveling. Ground War types are a ton of fun because you get up to 18 folks on those maps. Domination with 18 folks in Vacant = insanity.

After putting it off for several weeks, I finally finished the game on Veteran, including Mile High Club. No Fighting in the War Room, Mile High Club and One Shot, One Kill are the most difficult.
NFitWR is hard because it is timed. If you don't hit a checkpoint with enough time left, the game recognizes it and won't create a savepoint. I didn't realize this until my 100th or so time through the level.
MHC is intense. You have to hit your targets, toss your flashbangs and hit reload points perfectly. I made it to the VIP cabin with 4 seconds left.
OSOK is difficult, but there is a spot where nobody touches you. It must be a glitch, because you only get 10% of the firepower directed at you when you're in that location than when you're in the rest of the map.
After completed the game on Veteran I went back and collected the rest of the 7 or 8 pieces of intel I had missed. I had to use a guide for some of them.
So, finally 1000/1000 gamerpoints!

Congrats! I'm still working it even though I'm dreading the levels you just discussed.

Good job! I got 1000 points a few weeks ago and I think I had the most trouble with 1 shot 1 kill.

I played Mile High club for about an hour one night and couldn't beat it. I came home from work the next day and beat in on my first try!

so is mile high tougher than the ferris wheel cause if it is I'm not passing this game unless I go the noob level. I've played that round at least 25 times and just gave up. Never one to throw the controller I was very tempted

The airplane level is after the game ends, so you can finish the game without doing that level. It was pretty easy on normal, I did it on the first try and didn't even use any of my flashbangs. I can't beat it on veteran. I got about 2/3 of the way through it once, but then I ran out of ammo and got killed before I could take cover.

A little hint that made it easy for me.. let your teammates do a lot of the work ;) And try not to do a lot of reloading. I reloaded my gun once the entire way through

Can anyone explain grenades to me? When playing MP, I'll get the "Throw back" option once in a while and you know sometimes I don't want to throw it back, like if i am inside a building. So I just retreat but no matter how far back I go, I still blow up. Do they actually mean "Throw back, or DIE?"
