Speaking of Rank, I went down 2-3 ranks. I was 43 or 44, and I started at 41 today. Also, my challenges went back down to what it was a week ago.
wtf?

wtf?

Apparently XBL had to roll back some servers, thus people lost stats.

Anyone that looks at their COD4 rank and has lost a few levels, don't play at all until you try the fix. Some of the servers were sending old stats, not the current ones.

over on the xbox.com forums, it was stickied that if you switch between single player/multiplayer several times and force your stats to be re-downloaded from the server, eventually you should be able to get the most current information downloaded. It says that if you start playing it will "overwrite" your most current data and you'll have to rank up again.

I didn't lose anything myself, so I'm happy :p

I can't imagine being more frustrated than I was when I was trying to get through the TV station on Veteran.

It may be frustrating, but it makes for a longer experience. Six hours on normal is easy mode.

I was able to play some CoD4 on a friend's PS3 last night (I own it for the 360), and I can say that the controls are spot on with both versions. IW did a great job with the controls on this game, they are fantastic.

If there was a proper answer to that question, they wouldn't let you specify it yourself. ;) I left mine on the default and it works pretty well for me. The nice thing about this game is that you don't really have to sacrifice turning speed for precision as much as you would in a game like Halo 3. When you're running around you can turn quickly, but when you aim with the L trigger it slows down your turning and gives you the precision for aiming.

sounds good. I guess I should have rephrased my questions a bit. Just wanted to make sure if I left it on the default (medium) that I would still be able to compete with the better players.

mugs already answered that... it's adjustable so you can pick which suits your playstyle best. It's not the sensitivity which makes a good player, it's the practice and knowing the maps that make you good.

Yeah, pretty much. I personally can't aim precisely with a very high sensitivity, and with the M16 the spray and pray method doesn't work very well. People bitch about the M16 and its high rate of fire and high power, but they ignore the delay between bursts. If you miss with the first shot, there's a good possibility that you're dead. So I leave my sensitivity at the default where I can aim more effectively.

I personally like the M4 better anyways, and have since I unlocked it.

I like them both about equally. I'd do better than I do with the M4 if I'd stop forgetting that I can hold the trigger in...

I've never tried it. I just finished the M16 Expert III challenge, so I think I'll create a class for the AK-47 and try that out for a while.

They really should have given you more than 5 custom classes. No reason at all to limit it to 5.

There really shouldn't be a limit period IMO. At least give us some extra slots as an upgrade or something. An extra slot every 10 levels maybe? Or even 5 levels?

I've been playing on Live a lot and noticed after 2-3 rounds with the same group, I get kicked out with a message that says the Lobby is Closed. What does this mean? I don't mean I truly get kicked, since I don't think anyone really hosts games (they just pair you up). But why is this happening? This is for Team Deathmatch.

Basically just means that the person who was hosting left. The game automatically selects the person with the best connection to host. If they leave, then it closes the lobby. I believe the patch due out anytime now is supposed to fix that and keep everyone in game while it selects a new host.
